Still packing some extra pounds.

Who knows if I have fatty liver / have pre-diabetes? I never check for anything.

But I have decided to give up the sugary fruit. No more watermelon, bananas, mangoes, pineapples. I wasn't eating grapes anyway, but grapes are a no-no.

So which fruits are best?

Here is an interesting video I just watched.

he doesn't mention olives, but olives are a fruit. obviously low sugar.

avocadoes - high in potassium, so bananas not needed for potassium. avocados way more expensive than bananas though. but minus all the fructose.

pomegranates and grapefruits seem to have some special properties for insulin resistance and fat-burning

05:05 How pomegranate helps increase the size of the beta cells in the pancreas (important for diabetics

09:03 Grapefruit has a special antioxidant called naringenin which has been proven to improve insulin sensitivity and helps the liver burn fat instead of storing it (important for diabetics)

no other fruit besides berries?

Avos are good but expensive. I think almonds are better for energy and bring more filling. Rice and eggs too. Anything with sugar in it isnt much good.

ANYTHING (everything) we eat 'helps' burn fat. In fact, just typing this sentence helps burn fat! That's what your body does even while sleeping. It burns fat.
Hell, even eating a piece of cardboard will cause the body to burn fat. Just not at a rate that will do anything for weightloss.
But certainly, cutting down on sugary fruits will do a better job.  I limit myself to raspberries and blueberries,  and in limited daily amounts. A half cup of raspberries, a shot of sugar-free Strawberry syrup, all mixed into some Greek yogurt for a snack or dessert, and I'm a happy camper!
But there is no fruit 'better' for burning fat. Just as there is no exercise that 'targets' belly fat or targets cellulite thighs, etc. Just marketing hype.
