In saying that I have had a fantastic ride out each morning so far on this holiday, But we go out early...Leave home at day break and back by 8.30am. 

In Hua Hin  Songkran lasts only 1 day, the water fight doesn't start, in ernest until after lunch... Very civilised... 555

You aren't an authority here, and most locals throw water at anyone who passes. Consideration isn't a thought here in anything, which includes the Songkran as well as the driving habits. You have to go outside more as I've only been here 7 years and waving them off rarely works, especially if you have children on a scooter with you. They do not care period.
