That it's considered rude not to, does not make it mandatory. A fair percentage of people in the US do not tip.
Tipping all service the same is insulting to competent staff.
Yeah it's so much better to keep a fake picture of 'beauty is all that matters' alive with half competent staff that can't even speak clear announcements. Nice eye candy for a unsustainable future. The irony is that they are booted out themselves by the time they hit 33 except very few becoming managers.
But nobody ever wonders or mentions that part right, where do all those girls end up working at.
