Only in Bangkok! How long will it take to get around to the remainder of the country? Just another law to be ignored no doubt!?

And what happens to those cats and dogs that neither have home or owners?

Do they secretly cull them in the middle of the night?

A couple of decades ago there was a certain amount of culling in various forms taking place. then some do-gooders stuck their noses in, focusing on one particular aspect. The Thai government were embarrassed internationally and it all came to an end, they have had to tread very carefully ever since.

I doubt any of these so called celebrities have ever walked along a soi.

Thailand’s Soi Dog Foundation has some of the biggest stars in Britain speaking out against the dog-meat trade in a video that starts with a warning about its “distressing” content.
Dame Judi Dench, Ricky Gervais and two of the stars of the international-hit series “Downton Abbey” – Laura Carmichael and Phyllis Logan – give voice to the “I Never Knew” campaign in the moving (and, yes, distressing) three-minute video that drives home what you probably didn’t want to know. But of course you should know.

No worries ladies!

Many Thai’s don’t obey laws!

So dont worry about enforcement or owners disowning the their nuisances .

Why would a bye-law be required nationally for a localised problem.

It would be up to other areas with high number of foreigners to implement if necessary.

Much of Thailand is rural and the problem not seen in the same way. Every day my sister in law goes out on her bike and feeds the soi dogs.

Yes Gottfrid , I know what I reply to.

The OP says it is for Bangkok. You want it nationwide.

I don't .

Yes of course you don't know that I live in a rural province

where it doesn't matter.

Entitled was a joke to your stupid reply about entitlement, but it sure got you streaming.

Looking at your face in the avatar pic , you need a rabies shot pronto.

And a chip.

No this thread is not about people having a say if it becomes nation wide.

Now get off my back and stop wasting my time.

Yep, and it´s needed nationwide

As I said.

There was a plan some time ago under Prayut? to implement a tax on the dogs. First BKK and then Nationwide. I think it was 100 Baht per year? It was actually aiming to identify the dog's owner and to collect the ownerless. At that there was a public outcry and they had to skip the idea
