Transport Double-Deckers Banned from Risky Roads After Tragic Crash

Ban this route. Ban that route. They will only find another route that may be more dangerous. Some replies suggest driver skills, maintenance, and so on, and those are all good suggestions and actions that should be taken. If it were me I would make these buses and tandem trucks stay in the left lane, follow the posted speed limit signs (buses and lorries xxxx kph, cars xxx kph, motorbikes xxx kph) When I read articles like this I feel like a broken record saying Thailand needs more police patroling the roads, checkpoints are usless.

So since the busses react so badly they should be banned from dangerous roads! The common sense of Thailand. Public bus drivers in normal countries have at least a special drivers license and an air brake ticket. They usually know how to use them. What do they have here? A drive by the seat of your pants kind of guy  who will run from the scene if he's not killed. They should have signs at the bus depots. "Take at your own risk." I'm sorry innocent passengers were killed.

When an crash inevitably occurs after such careless, reckless, inconsiderate driving - its not the drivers fault... its the fault of the numerous systems that have 'failed the driver'...

 

 

Kwilco is the only person I ever had to block on here. I don't know what his deal is but I found his explanations totally incomprehensible and he made some insulting comments when I tried asking questions. Lectures are exactly what they are and the rest of us are too stupid to understand and take notes apparently.

That's not a double decker. It's a coach.

These are double decker buses as used in London and occasionally seen in Pattaya
