It also niggles me that you can't channel hop, have to come out and back in to another game.

Can be particularly frustrating during Goal Rush on MAX1, I think, when there is an announcement of a goal scored or penalty awarded in one of the other games being played at the same time, but you then have to wait several minutes to see what transpires. Maybe best to keep a suitable app (e.g. BBC Sports) easily accessible on your phone during Goal Rush in these circumstances.

Well that's not true. I watched Brighton vs Fulham yesterday at 21:00 on Thai Channel 29. (Mono)

Maybe the message refers to all the other matches. (18:30, 2 more at 21:00 & the later game)

So you were presumably able to watch the game on the Monomax app's Mono29? If so, that would probably explain the rights notice I got when trying unsuccessfully to watch it on Truevisions ch29.

In short, it has absolutely everything. The value for money is unreal.

I wouldn't say it has everything. A couple of things that I miss from the True coverage for instance, are the ability to pause and rewind live games (you could pause live TV for anything up to two hours) and games in 4K - though admittedly they only had one of those per week.

The big miss (for me) is the pause and rewind feature. Having got used to it, I would say I used it at least once during pretty much every match I ever watched on True and I find it kind of galling not to have it now.

Yea it's not the end of the world but mildy annoying, but a potential upside is that many times in the past I've flicked through the channels while watching a main game and when I've gone back to the game I've missed a goal, so at least that will happen less 🙂

Another small moan is the Monomax games don't give you score updates on the other games,

I agree that the coverage isn't quite as good as True - the main thing I miss (as previously mentioned) being pause and rewind.

However if you want the ability to channel hop, I've just recently discovered you can use the AIS Play app instead of the Monomax app.

This wasn't the case earlier - I tried it immediately after subscribing and there was nothing from Monomax available. But now there is - they have nine Monomax channels and you can easily switch between them (i.e. channel hop).

Since I discovered this, I've uninstalled the Monomax app from all my devices and started using exclusively AIS Play instead.

AH, ok, I didn't have that feature on my system - maybe I was on an older box, or maybe I just didn't notice it. I can see the use in that.

Same. never had it to my knowledge and don't think I would have used it anyway.

I wouldn't have used it either as I want live to be live, and don't want someone to text me about a goal while I have paused it to go get a sandwich. But I can see why other people might like it.

Nope. Are you signed in on more than one device? It's only allowed to be used on one device at a time.

Is your box normal Android operating system or Android TV?

This is how Android TV looks like.

I have both Android OS and Android TV OS devices. Why do you ask?

Because an app designed for Android TV may not have all functions on an Android box.

I'm not sure I follow. I'm not lacking any features on either operating platform.

Most apps these days are designed for Android TV OS, they may lack some functions, or not work at all when installed on vanilla Android OS

Works well so far, very little buffering, very high resolution display and male English commentary

And being male is important to some people #prejudice

Monomax replaced Truevisions this season as the broadcaster in Thailand of the Premier League. Two games in, how's it doing?

Last week not too bad, but some momentary buffering lost the picture. 8/10.

This week a disaster in the 2nd half. Service lost at times. Became so bad that I had to change to watch on HDPrime. 4/10 and seriously questioning if I really want to take out a one year subscription (initially have a one month package to test it).

Last weekend on Saturday some games didn't come live, and Monomax support had to sort it.

Yea ref the above, the Bournemouth Wolves game was cutting out at times last night. Very frustrating, and it reminds you that you are watching a stream and not real TV!

Let's stop this nonsense that this is better than True, it's not even close and it was a sad day for football fans in this country when True lost the rights.

One thing, I think I'm right in saying that it seems to be pretty solid if watching Max 1 (Ch 602) as opposed to another channel.

I've committed to one year now Bt2,999 as I didn't want yet another monthly bill, if I have wasted my money then wasting money is a regular pastime for me here anyways, so I'll just add the 3k to all the rest that goes out the window.

@Stuck in Thailand There were very clear instructions on how to get the subscription for 1999 baht per annum or 199 baht per month, with the option to use AIS Play or the Monomax applications. No monthly bill necessary either way. It seems you were too hasty.

Admittedly I didn't look deeply into it, but could only see that you had to be an AIS punter to get the yearly Bt1,999 and I'm not.

If I've paid an extra 1k then I'm really not bothered.

There use to a Leicester fan on here years back, lived in Chiang Mai, can't remember his username, massive football fan, watched everything, was very prominent on here I think it was during the CTH fiasco, helping people. Think he had some connections with the TV people?

Doh! 😊

Yes just an AIS prepaid SIM.

Put some credit on it. Say 200 baht(Better 10 x 20 baht to push the validity of the SIM out to the max), if you wanted to test for just a month and then tap in *899*9#

If you wanted to go for the full year, then top up 2000 baht(Better 10 x 200 baht to push the validity of the SIM out to the max) and then tap in *899*1#

That's it.

FFS! I've had it ages so would have full validity with one top up anyway.

Makes you wonder why anyone would (knowingly) pay the full amount if it's that simple to save a grand.

I did a months trial too, so have splurged Bt3,298 in total.

I've posted it at least three times in the relevant forums. Maybe one of the Mods should pin it, to stop people paying out more than is necessary.

I watched it on Truevisions ch 29. (called Mono) It wasn't the Monomax app.

Yesterday at 21:00 I watched Brentford vs Villa. Looks like ch 29 has 1 free match a week on Saturday at 21:00.
