no yearly test until they are 7yrs old.

Has that been changed to 7 years Ralf? I thought it was ten years and then, only required if the vehicle is being sold to a new owner. That used to be the case at least.

Worn injectors is a common problem causing diesel engines to smoke.

Dirty/clogged fuel injectors are the most likely cause. Yes, diesel particulates can increase the risk of lung cancer.

The difference between Thailand and Malaysia is obvious, I have never seen a bus, truck or car blowing smoke there. For all I know, there are death squads operating that drag errant drivers out of their vehicles, and execute them on the spot.

A great idea if that could be introduced here Lacessit. But let's let the death squad punish all of the other idiocy on the roads as well.

There are still plenty of smoke belchers in Malaysia but I see them mostly outside of the cities. The Police there do seem to do a much more thorough job than the BiB here

I would recommend the motorcycle to overtake the truck.

I've heard it's deliberate because they think the smoke looks cool.  I'm not sure about adding power.

They're getting a concentrated dose, but you're getting a pretty good amount whenever you're outside without a mask on.

What kind of mask?
