geeeze .....  you are perfect.    give yourself a gold star everyday.    and give yourself a kiss in the mirror also.   Lol

I will be the first to admit I am far from perfect, but I do know I am not as dumb as the numerous old farangs i have come across over he last 30 years,  who seem to think it is the norm to 'purchase' a young Thai woman by buying a house in the woman's name, then finding out they also have to pay for her family and the sick buffalo and think it is the norm.

This belief is further reenforced by the fact they only hang out with like minded farangs, they never meet the normal sort of farang as they avoid them like the plague.

At least I do not have a gold star in stupidity, I have bought properties I rent out as part of my pension but they are safe in the UK well away from sticky fingers.

From what I hear, that is a market to get out of, being a landlord getting pretty tough in the UK these days, rules and requirements being stacked against you.

A German national was rescued in Jomtien, over the weekend, after being found in a distressed and vulnerable state, having reportedly been evicted from his home by his Thai wife without explanation and living at the beach.

The incident came to light during a routine patrol by the Jomtien District Inspection Team, operating under the Policy and Planning Division of the Pattaya Municipality Office.

The patrols are carried out in accordance with the directive of Pattaya Mayor, Mr Poramet Ngampichet, who has reiterated his commitment to safeguarding the well-being of all tourists and residents in the city.

Municipal officers responded promptly to the presence of a foreign man in visible distress. Officers arrived at the scene and coordinated with Pol. Col. Anek Sratongyu, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, as well as other local law enforcement personnel.

They found the German national, whose name was withheld, distressed and without shelter. Preliminary questioning revealed that he had been abruptly evicted from his home by his Thai wife, leaving him with nowhere to go and no means of support.

Authorities acted swiftly to provide immediate assistance. Municipal officers, in collaboration with city police, ensured the tourist was taken to a safe location. The case was subsequently referred to the Tourist Police and the Immigration Bureau to provide further support and to guarantee his safety and welfare moving forward.

In a statement, Pattaya City expressed its gratitude to all agencies involved for their cooperation and swift action, which underscores the city’s dedication to being a safe and welcoming destination for both tourists and expatriates.

If Thai man is evicted from home by Thai wife, he can legally live in the beach. So why can't this expat do the same?

He'd probably end up an illegal immigration sooner or later.

And how the hell would he do his 90 day report?

From my 32 years of experience in Thailand, I have heard stories and witnessed firsthand how people lost their homes and cars because they bought and registered their property in their wife's or girlfriend's name in Thailand.
First, when buying a house or car, do not register it in the woman's name.
If you cannot secure your rights in the house, you should buy an apartment, not a house. This is easy. Registering the apartment in your name and the car in the same way. Instead of the woman controlling you, you are the one who controls her and runs her as she pleases with you

It is norm for a certain type of farang.

They are not forced to roll a dice.

Well I suppose they are now that I think about it, I mean cars are not free and have to be paid for, so I suppose that type of girl has to be paid for.

In the case of a car it can break down in the first month or so with no refund and a woman can "run off" with the house.

What I can't understand is if they want a young woman then why marry them and pay for them long term, they could get a young one every night and they never get old.

Some people do exactly that and just keep doing the P4P.

There are pros and cons to both.

With the P4P, you will never get the same level of intimacy. But neither do they get close enough to you to hurt you, either emotionally or financially.
