I thought it was bang average. Filming every episode in one take without edits made for some incredibly boring scenes, like the journey to the hardware store from the house to buy paint. Riveting.  😃

Then there was all the woke political stuff. Toxic masculinity, Incels, black man good white man bad etc. etc.

Hugely over-rated, but loved/promoted by self loathing hand wringing Liberals everywhere. Many of whom seem to not realize it is in fact a drama and not a documentary (including our Prime Minister). 😆

Stupid policy though isn't it

Does anyone even watch modern movies these days?

I can't remember the last good one.

I don't go the the cinema to be lectured to about women's empowerment or some other Woke rubbish.

Even Netflix is now trotting out politically motivated garbage like Adolesence and "Harry and Meghan". The Western movie industry is dying, particularly Hollywood.

No, it's not dying. It's just passed you by.

And in other breaking news, Trump has announced tariffs on clouds that come from overseas.

Only the grey ones, white ones to remain tariff free.

Quite the contrary, he's encouraging them to make their movies in the US.

So you would happily go and see a US financed movie set in rural England produced in the US using green screens to simulate scenery  in order to comply with a tariff agenda thought up by B-movie grade actor friends Voight and Stallone of the President? You probably give some of Stallones latest movies high grades as well I expect 🙂

I have to say I agree.

If you look at the 80s, amazing films, really great films. Back to the Future, Karate Kid, Rocky, Rambo, Dead Poets Society, Crocodile Dundee, Top Gun, Officer and a Gentleman

The list is never ending.

Then you look at this previous decade, the 2010:

Fast and the Furious, Avengers, Harry Potter, Captain America, Spiderman, Captain Marvel,

It's terrible!

90's was good as well. Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, American Beauty, The Matrix, Lock Stock, Reservoir Dogs.

What have we got now? Snow White and MineCraft. It's pathetic.

Best thing I've seen re. Hollywood in the last few years was Ricky Gervais hosting The Golden Globes.

It really is pathetic, the best film of the 2010s was probably The Revenant which was not all that. The rest total dross.

There has not been a single good film int he 2020s. Not one.

Though, we have to admit that we do live in a golden age in terms of TV series. With Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, My Mister, The Walking Dead, we've had TV series of a quality that was never seen before.

It's like all the genius that went into film has gone into TV series now.
