The alarming mental decline of Donald J. Trump -- watch this space

Recommended Posts

Posted

For years people were saying Joe Biden was in mental decline.

One particularly disastrous performance at a debate sealed his political fate.

Well, now Joe Biden isn't president, but Donald J. Trump is.

Guess what?

There's a problem.

A big problem.

Not with Joe Biden anymore but with Donald J. Trump.

He is noticeably getting much worse.

Be clear no two mentally declining people decline in the exactly the same way.

But for those that didn't want Joe Biden to have so much power because of his mental decline, be honest, why is it rational to want Donald J. Trump to have that power?

He's just at the beginning of a four year term so his mental state is going to be getting a lot worse and it will never get better.

Hopefully, the country is spared from him serving the full four years. He's already done so much severe damage in a few months.

So I'm starting this threat to MONITOR the journey of the mental decline of Donald J. Trump and it's impact on the world.

It will be relevant as long as he's president.

Is Trump in mental decline? He sounds far worse than Biden ever did. | Opinion

Trump seems to know little, and he has grown increasingly incoherent and rambling, often wholly detached from reality.

Maybe He is just trying to say to you something like: "Guys, I'm too busy for all this nonsense of Western political theatre.. Sorry, I would better spend my time checkmating Putin and Kim in Ukraine."

Trump's mental decline is not new! GOP politicians are complicit. They have hidden it for years!

Swap "Trump" for Biden and you are factually correct for once. Other than it was the collective left that tried and failed to hide it.

Joe was mentally declining before assuming office, and you ignored it.

Technically your response is gibberish. But notably both you and "candide" lack any understanding of dementia, even though you are both apparently at opposite ends of a political spectrum.

No one is "complicit" in or causes dementia. Its a range of syndromes that really start with changes in your brain in your 30s. We all suffer changes in our mental acuity as we age, mostly due to changes in brain vascularisation. If you are a smoker, these come on earlier, Then drinkers. Long term exposure to pain, such as through arthritis, also can cause changes in parts of the brain associated with how we react to oain. This can cause delusional behaviour. Cancers in other parts of the body can also cause symptoms, For instance, its not uncommon for someone with bladder cancer to exhibit dementia-like symptoms. In fact, many urinary infections impact our behaviour and memory recall. I have utter sympathy with anyone with dementia. With the right support, people with dementia can remain active and make a contribution to society.

Biden’s “mental illness” was a part of the war named “deceiving the enemy”.

The idea was to make Russians think that America is too weak so not an enemy at all. This was working quite well for almost 2 and a half years.

I have seen a sharp mental decline of some members here over the past 5 years. It always amuses me that people with an average age of probably 70 go on about people getting old losing their marbles.

How can trump decline that’s an awfully low bar considering it’s trump you are talking about.

it's always worth watching the expressions on the faces of the loyal (deluded) lieutenants standing behind him when he launches into one of his rambling nonsensical diatribes. they know.

Very good point.

The mental competenence of members here is similarly of very limited consequence as Biden now as a retired gentleman.

That's why this topic is about Trump!

Currently POTUS and according to him he runs both the USA and the entire world.

Let's focus on what matters NOW, shall we?

When they begin hiding him in Delaware I will become concerned. He is out in the press everyday all day long.

That's illogical.

We do see an awful lot of him and and awful lot of what we see is very awful and reveals that hs's really not in touch with reality, or even a "concept" of reality.

Like in the white house presser today, he's still bragging about releasing water in California AFTER the fires were under control and into areas that didn't need it that caused damage, wasting a vital future reserve for agriculture. That in the context of meeting with the new leader of Canada over mutual trade and relations which he has irrationally trashed. Not California. Canada.

Recently he confused Harlem with Harvard and went on a full rant about Harlem.

The list of examples of his should be shocking mental incompetence occurs daily and is really too long to list. I think that's part of his game, To flood the zone with such garbage so people see his incompetence as normal and also to exhaust people.

This topic is about PAYING ATTENTION to it!

Imagine they hadn't hid Biden for 4 years. You don't like Trump but he can function on his own. Is he losing his fastball? Probably but he isn't a human vegetable. Let me know when they have to send out Dr. Jill in an Easter Bunny suit.

Whatever you think or was real about Biden is not relevant now. Biden is out of power.

IF that's all you've got to defend Trump as competent, you've lost this exchange.

Trump is in power so i don't know how any of this matters. I have lost this exchange? lol okay whatever you win. Let them use article 25 if there is a consensus. Other than that it's just your venting on the net.

Stop being so transparently disingenuous!

You know perfectly well Trump has surrounded himself with low grade sycophants who would never use Article 25!

Also, of course it matters.

This NEEDS to become a much more front and center issue as the world suffers through however long the Trump regime lasts, Hopefully not the full four years.

Former Trump insiders see mental decline in his recent tweets and interviews - masslive.com

www.masslive.com/politics/2025/05/former-trump-insiders-see-mental-decline-in-his-recent-tweets-and-interviews.html

On Sunday, Republican former U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh wrote on X that there must be more coverage of what he sees as “cognitive decline” from Trump.

Walsh, a former representative from Illinois, said he voted for Trump in 2016 but has since become a “Never Trumper, calling the president a “jackass” and a “dictator” in 2024, according to WTTW.

“There should be coverage of Trump’s cognitive decline,” Walsh wrote on X. “Massive coverage. Because it’s an issue. A huge issue.”

Yeah because Biden didn't surround himself with the same although it was so obvious he should have been removed. Anyway enjoy your time in the political wilderness for the biggest lie in political history. It going to be a decade or nmore before anybody trusts the dems again.

New slogan for the dems: Honesty, it matters. However more than that you have a personality issue in the party. Dishonest and insufferable don't pair well.

Not about Biden.

Now that Trump is in power, trying to play act that it doesn't matter that the most powerful man in the world has lost complete contact with reality is simply not objectively defensible. It will be a CULT thing of course

I think he is on new meds, and they are trying to balance them.

He looks quite different at different times of the day, and they juice him for the bigger events.

It's like his makeup/hair...looks good (well for orange tones) for events, but while golfing he looks like a walking corpse.

His TruthSocial bleats, posted nearly 7/24/365 seem to indicate a failing mind.

There is massive EVIDENCE of this. But I get it. Cult members are not interested and will always defend no matter what, even when his actions hurt them personally.
