I would reckon he was transferring to Bangkok Bank over a weekend and you weren't.

Quite possibly, but to me his post implies that all wise UK  to Thailand transfers now take 3 days.

But  @pete43 also seems to imply that Wise transfers previously took 4 days. 1 day or maybe 2 days in my experience every now and then, but never as much as 4 days!

Last weekend when Monday and Tuesday were holidays transfers to Bangkok Bank initiated after 10:00am on Friday would not be received until Wednesday at 2:00pm so actually five days.  Of course that is an exception but it still caused drama for many going by the posts here and elsewhere.

We're sorry about that, the problem truly seems to be something else, not the account details for the transfer.

We're currently undergoing some issues with THB which is causing some transfers to be delayed, we're working on a fix to this problem.

The estimate for the solution is 1 to 2 working days. We appreciate your patience in this case.

How many times does it need saying that if the reason for sending is Long Term Stay or Buying Property, where it MUST be shown as an International Transfer, FTT in Bkk Bank, the transfer will arrive at 14.03 the next WORKING DAY.  Other wise it takes seconds, even to UAE Dubai.

It's all transfers to BBL now, irrespective of the reason chosen.

Last Friday I did Bht 10k for family expenses. Arrived in seconds. Then another 35k for long stay arrived on Wedneday, 14.03pm as always.

To Bangkok Bank?  That would go against what has been widely reported and what Wise currently quote.

Absolutely, my SIM card is in my own name since approx 1 year now. So no that is not into play. And another thing, that account sending was to my wife's account and not my own.

But I can tell you It happened again, but now with my own SCB account, but this time it took 3 weeks for the rejection message to appear. And also that account info  is/was accurate

You've already said it too many times already, but go ahead, knock yourself out.  I don't know why you are telling me. I don't bank with Bangkok Bank. I never mentioned Bangkok Bank FTT transfers and neither did the post I quoted.

Well KannikaP seems to agree with you and I hope he returns to confirm it, but the overwhelming evidence from threads on here and elsewhere seem to show that what I posted was correct, and became the norm about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

 

If you've got a Wise timeline that shows differently then please post it for all our benefit.  You can see from the screenshots I posted upthread that Wise aren't claiming "in seconds" as they used to, even at weekends.

No, I was asking about your 10K transfer on Friday which you said arrived in seconds.  Was it to Bangkok Bank, as that seems to go against the trend of what's been happening recently?

I apologise profusely. The 10k, from my THB balance was set up late Thursday evening and arrived 14.03 on Friday. I was getting confused with the AED transfer to Dubai which took seconds. Sorry.
