Report Bangkok Preschools Enhance Covid-19 Measures as New Term Begins

To curb the spread of coronavirus in Bangkok's preschool centres, the Social Development Office (SDO) has introduced stringent safety measures. Director Kanjana Phupipatthanaphon emphasised the critical need for comprehensive adherence to the DMHT guidelines—distancing, mask-wearing, handwashing, and temperature checks—to protect children, volunteers, and parents.

 

District offices overseeing these centres have been instructed to enforce Covid-19 prevention protocols rigorously. Daily health screenings for children, teachers, and staff, including temperature checks and mandatory mask-wearing, are required before entry. Alcohol-based hand sanitisers are to be used frequently.

 

Parents are urged to keep children with symptoms of respiratory illness—such as headache, fever, cough, or sore throat—at home. Should symptoms arise, children must be tested with an antigen test kit (ATK) and, if infected, receive medical care and stay home until fully recovered.

 

The SDO has also mandated intensified cleaning regimens for facilities, toys, and communal areas. Classrooms are to be equipped with handwashing stations featuring soap and water or sanitiser. Surfaces and shared items—like stair railings, dining tables, and door handles—must be sanitised regularly, and bathrooms disinfected at least twice daily. Adequate ventilation is vital; if insufficient, handwashing and mask-wearing protocols must compensate.

 

If a child is confirmed to have contracted Covid-19, immediate medical treatment at a healthcare facility is necessary. In instances of five or more cases in a centre, the school health nurse or local public health service must be notified to manage the outbreak effectively.

 

These enhanced protocols aim to ensure a safe environment for all as Bangkok's preschoolers return to their educational routines.

Ah, flashback to the good old days of 2020-2021, when everyone had gone utterly insane… and those of us who said elementary rational things were the "crazy", "dangerous" ones…

The total ignorance, cower & complying, of society is mind boggling.   Back to full on silliness again.   If daughter was still school age, she'd be home schooled.   Thankfully the first wave of silliness, she was at Uni, and teaching basically went online.  

 

Actually for her it was a plus, since not living on campus, so didn't have to drive to or use public trans to get to & from Uni from her condo.  I think everyone got covid anyway, once or 3 times.   If they even knew about it, and just a few uncomfortable days, if symptomatic at all.

 

So all of about 15 people died so far this wave, and probably old & sickly anyway.   For that, they are going to inconvenience millions of people with their silliness ... again 

 

Hope they go all in, and shut down the country ... me me me
