I have a new passport valid until August 2026. Now I have another question. Since this is my second consecutive retirement visa and I already have 800,000 THB in my own bank account, shouldn’t I be paying Maneerat Agency less than I did last year (which was 20,000 or 25,000 THB)? That was my first application, and they helped fund my account at the time. Wouldn't 10,000 or 15,000 THB be a more reasonable fee for their services now?

First application is 25K, because it includes the initial Non-O 90-Day visa.  A "renewal" application is only 12.5K baht. In another thread, a poster noted the savings of having your own 800K with them was minimal.

Extension from that agent is 12,500baht.

However what about what Maneerat told you about pp with added pages....

"She told me that the extended passport is actually not a normal passport (even if it looks exactly like one)"

Seems agent cannot assist you.

As I wrote in the beginning of my previous message - I have succeeded to get a new passport (not an extended one).

This is like extracting teeth.

More like extracting blood from a stone.

This is what happens when Immigration and agents refer to everything as a 'visa'.

Perhaps they think foreigners are too stupid to understand the difference between a 'visa' and 'an extension of your permission of stay'.

Then again, I think maybe they are too stupid to understand the difference and explain it as such.

I use an agent, the famous one in Soi Post in Pattaya. I dread going there when it's busy because of the complete ignorance of many of the clientele (not to mention their loudness). The girls  are very patient with the customers and I have heard them having to repeat very simple instructions over and over again.  Some of them can barely understand where the bank branch is located (end of soi, turn left, just after Loyal Gahden) let alone the difference between a visa and an extension 😂

I agree 100%, the girls are knowledgeable and professional.
