I was on a cruise once with my mother and sisters as a kind of reunion, and though it was really fun hanging out with them, I just didn't like being around thousands of people and I'd never do it again, luxury or not. Even if it was free I don't think I'd do it again, just not my style of traveling. But to each his own. Some love cruises.

I have been on a luxury cruise, basically, my entire life.

I have been on many shipboard cruises, as well.

 

Some originated from RAS TANURA.....(What a sandpit)....

 

THIS was one of the most LUXURIOUS of cruises....

 

All cruises are great, as long as one is alive to enjoy them.

I have been on cruises from here to there.

 

And, cruises from there to here.

Having spoken to people who both do both ocean and river cruises, the consensus is the river cruises are far more enjoyable, with smaller boats and less people. What I was referring to is the big ocean liners, which would not be my cup of tea.

 

A river cruise would be fun. That's the only kind of cruises that my sister does and she loves them.
