Community Newborn Baby Found Dead Beside Rubbish Bins in Pathum Thani

In a deeply disturbing incident, the body of a newborn baby boy was discovered abandoned beside a rubbish bin near a dormitory in the Khu Khot area of Lam Luk Ka District on the morning of 25 May. Police Lieutenant Colonel Thienchai Mai-iem, Deputy Investigation Officer at Khu Khot Police Station, received the report shortly before dawn and immediately alerted his superiors. He arrived at the scene accompanied by forensic officers from Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital, detectives and rescue volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation. The body was found on tiled flooring between two buildings on Phahonyothin 83 Road, laid next to a bin in a narrow alleyway. The baby boy was reportedly no larger than the palm of a hand and still had his umbilical cord attached. Medical examiners estimate that the infant had been dead for at least eight hours before discovery. Mr. Pornpipat, a volunteer from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, stated that he had received the initial report from a member of the public around 05:30. Police officers attempted to review CCTV footage but were unable to identify any suspects, as the nearest camera was facing away from the scene. According to a local waste collector, who was the first to find the body, he had been searching for recyclable materials in the area. As he approached the bin, he noticed the lifeless infant and promptly alerted nearby residents before continuing on his route. Mr. Chokchai, the caretaker of the nearby dormitory, reported that scavengers often visit the area. Upon being informed of the discovery, he notified the condominium’s management and subsequently contacted the police and emergency services. Lt. Col. Thienchai collected forensic evidence from the scene and is coordinating with the investigative team to gather witness statements. The baby’s body has been transported to Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Accident Myanmar Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash on Pattaya Overpass
Picture from responders. A 27-year-old Myanmar national died instantly after he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a guardrail on a curved overpass bridge, in Pattaya, Chonburi province. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 16:05 on 25 May, on the overpass, leading to motorway number 7, off the Sukhumvit Road junction. Police Lieutenant Colonel Rattaphon Wannana, Deputy Inspector of Highway Police Division 1, Subdivision 8, received the emergency report and promptly coordinated with volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation, who rushed to the scene. At the crash site, officers discovered a red Honda Click motorcycle bearing Rayong licence plate, lying damaged on the road surface on the overpass. Long scrape marks were evident along the both the road and the guardrail, indicating the severity of the impact. Below the overpass, approximately four metres beneath, the body of the victim, identified as Mr. Maung Phu, was found. He had been thrown from the elevated road and died upon impact with the ground. Rescue personnel quickly covered the body with a white sheet and cordoned off the area to prevent unauthorised access. Eyewitness Mr. Watcharin Promsit, 30, told authorities he was driving on the overpass when he saw the victim speeding and attempting to overtake a pickup truck. As the motorcyclist approached a curve, he lost control, struck the guardrail and was flung into a curve warning sign before falling to the road below. Police have documented the scene and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage to determine the precise cause of the incident. The body has been transferred to Pattaya Pathomkhun Hospital, where it will be held until relatives provide the necessary documentation to claim it. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
