I’ve been using True in my condo for the last three years and am currently looking for a second fibre connection for a house as well as a 4G/5G router.

So I went to the shop today and they said I needed a printed copy of my passport, work permit and the whole deal. Didn’t matter if I already was a customer.

Did I just luck out with my customer «service» rep or is this just the way it is?

Oh and by the way, they said I could not add my additional services to the existing account.
Is this just a way for them to add provisions? Or is True not homogenised enough to work together in central and northern Thailand?

If you are by yourself, as I'm thinking, that's what they ask for. The first question I was asked when I wanted a router installed (I use hotspot), is if i had a wife living with me. The condo is yours but the house isn't? A work permit makes some things easier.
