Current article running where DTV e-Visa taking long time.

In particular PP Cambodia.

Where are you applying.

BTW why bother with SETV when visa exempt entry is also 60 days.

Thanks foe the quick reply.. I am in Perth AUSTRALIA ,,, Yes I do know that visa exempt  could be used as I am going for 50 days , I take it is still 60 days, it's just that that in the previous 2 years I have had 6 VE'S , so i just though maybe a good to get a SETV ,as it IS so touchy with VE entry these days,, it's my first trip this year , 6 months since my last VE..I leave on the 24 of June maybe visa will turn up, still 2 weeks to go, but in the many years of dealing with Thais , I won't hold my breath ,,,,Thanks POPA

Good luck with the SETV.

You haven't been in Thailand for 6months.

I would be amazed if you were refused entry.

Plan B fly visa exempt.

Note the airline at departure may require onward flight within 60 days.

If you have been out of Thailand for 6 months, and do not have a history of longer-stays or more than 6-mo/year in Thailand as a tourist in the last two years, and no ED or Volunteer Visa history, and no long-stay during Covid, you should be OK coming in on VE.   Granted, that's just my guess based on reports.

Good luck with the TR Visa.

Your post is off topic rant.

Seems you are over 50. You have alternatives if you wish to spend 6 Months/year in Thailand.

One option is a METV or a Non O.

Or even SETV with a border bounce while exempt remains at 60 days.

Continue with visa exempt entry along with complaints. That's also an option.

How would a Thai person do the same in your own country? My guess is, it wouldn't be possible.  So take the generous policies that exist and don't abuse them, or get a long-term visa meant for the purpose you are talking about.
