Why Are You Really Here? Downtime Hobby or Desperate Obsession?
Yes, it was looked at as one of them type of cheaper countries, like Bulgaria for example. They moved out of their local currency into the Euro in Jan 24 so no doubt that made a difference to pricing. -

Why Are You Really Here? Downtime Hobby or Desperate Obsession?
I like to tell people they are wrong, there is more to what you see and hear, and where there is logic solutions, people tends to do the opposite. And I love getting negative responses for every sane and logical anser I give. Honestly, I have no idea why I'm stuck here. I came with another nick when it was still common to ask questions about farming and construction as well visa information, and now kind of stuck in this pool of idiocracy society where almost no productive happens. Time consuming habit -

Water Softeners - Advice Sought
Surface water is rainwater that has soaked into the ground picking up all sorts of unmentionable rubbish on the way. As you know, rainwater is inherently softer than a babies rear end and needs only minimal softening. So it is not unreasonable that the resin needs only occasional rejuvenation. Depth of my surface water well is 5.5 Metres which is enough for most of the year. Any shortfall is made up from the local lake filtered and pumped from a government pump house which is just down the road from my house. Your description of the Home Pro filter tank sounds like the sort I use. I have two with carbon filter media and one with resin. Non of them are automatic. This is a very interesting situation. How far away are these wells from your point of use? Rather than use the borehole water which will not be so good from a hardness point of view, could you not route some of your underground stream water to your filter/pump house? (I am making quite a few assumptions here.) Point about the 10% improvement figure I mentioned. This is a 10% reduction in hardness. This translates into something like:- If you needed 100 bars of Imperial Leather per month without the resin filter the you would need only 90 bars of same when using resin filter. This 10% figure comes from a water supply equipment company here in Buriram. Have you had your borehole water tested? -

English Retiree Wants TIN
I’ve got an English friend who has been here a couple of years and not paid tax(in any country) on his foreign income, just £12,000. He is retired and on a marriage visa. UK state pension. He is worried and said he’s going to go to the tax office in Bkk, get a TIN and start paying tax. I think his remote company are asking for tax compliance. I think he’ll have to own up and they’ll find out about the past two years, as they’ll need some kinda contract from his work, so he’ll be fined for not paying. He thinks he can just go to get a TIN and file next year for his earnings this year, and it is just up to him to say a figure and they won’t ask for bank details. Does anyone know what happens when you go and get a TIN for the first time?
