In a serious escalation of conflict, over 30 students from Tha Maka found themselves caught in a violent brawl at a bustling intersection in Kanchanaburi, resulting in injuries to four students. The incident, captured on CCTV, unfolded on June 10 at a traffic intersection in Tha Ruea Phra Thaen, Tha Maka district.

The chaos began when a group of students, riding multiple motorcycles, halted at the intersection, brandishing knives. They attacked students from a well-known Tha Maka high school who were waiting at the red light, creating a scene of panic as students scrambled for safety.

Officers from Tha Ruea Police Station promptly arrived, discovering three male students and a 17-year-old female among the injured. The Khun Rattanavudh Foundation provided first aid at the scene before transporting the injured to Makara Hospital for urgent treatment.

One of the injured students shared that the incident followed an earlier altercation, where a one-on-one fistfight had taken place with the rival group. After the initial fight, both groups dispersed, but the student's group was ambushed again at the traffic light by approximately 30 individuals wielding knives, leading to multiple injuries.

In the immediate aftermath, police apprehended one of the assailants on-site, recovering a knife. This person was taken to the police station for further questioning.

Police Colonel Chomphon Rujiradamrongchai, superintendent of Tha Ruea Police Station, indicated that they have reviewed the CCTV footage and identified the group of perpetrators involved in the attack. Authorities are currently coordinating with teachers from the involved schools to bring in the students for additional questioning, aiming to unravel the full scope of the confrontation and prevent future episodes of violence.
