Probably helped that he wasn't OD'ing on fentanyl while covid+ and violently resisting arrest too? Could that possibly have contributed in his surviving arrest?

Of course it did. Thank you for that astounding bit of wisdom, Captain Obvious.

Fake news.

common sense tells you if he was a democrat he would not be shooting them.

although it is American and theTrump shooter was a republican at a MAGA Trump rally.

Common sense tells me that if he was maga it would be front page headlines worldwide by now...

AP: Friends say Minnesota shooting suspect was deeply religious and conservative

"Friends and former colleagues interviewed by AP described Boelter as a devout Christian who attended an evangelical church and went to campaign rallies for President Donald Trump. Records show Boelter registered to vote as a Republican while living in Oklahoma in 2004 before moving to Minnesota where voters don’t list party affiliation."

I know he was a conservative and I also know he was a religious nut I was responding to a claim that he was a MAGA Trump supporter.

You do know there are varying degrees of people who voted Trump and not all are MAGA right?

No who are those people?

I used to be all messed up on drugs. Then I became all messed up on the Lord.  Now I'm all messed up on MAGA and Trump.

If (as the article claims) he attended Trump rallies, that makes him MAGA. You can't go to several of those clown shows and not have joined the cult.

A normal person wouldn't have been able to take it, the inane word salads, the TACO dance etc.

You made a claim, you cannot back it up. If you want to know which voters who voted for Trump are not MAGA research it.

Not at all, some voted because of certain polices such as abortion etc. Looks like this was a big thing for him. I'll ignore the Taco nonsense

Trump supporters ranging from the Make America Great Again, or MAGA, faithful to moderate “hold the nose and vote for him” conservatives.

So your previous claim he survived arrest due to being white was nonsense, and you knew it was nonsense, yet posted it anyway. Interesting that woke posters must rely on so many lies to back up their stances.

I made no such claim. Your reading comprehension is abysmal. Have you tried using an AI to help you with that? Anyway, always willing to help so will repeat what I wrote. And this time, release the tight grip on your pearls before reading:

"And the fact that he's white certainly didn't hurt his chances of survival."

'Not hurting his chances' isn't the same as 'he survived because he was white'. You understand now, Sunny?

And to think left wing wacho, Walz could have been the Vice President of the United States. But thank God, the good citizens of the United States voted for patriots, Donald Trump and JD Vance.

It would appear that the worst the offense, and the more morally reprehensible the individual, the more likely they are to get a pardon from the Goon himself.

So an ex-jock attacking the Dem governor for a murder spree done by a Trump supporter. Only in the dim corridors of the MAGA mind does that make sense.

And Breitbart - seriously??😆

But for magas or republicans, anyone who opposes Trump or the government have to be leftists. Day after day the same magas/right wing hammers the same statements over and over thread after thread. There is no logic in these blindness hardcore followers where all critics are traitors

I was clarifying some facts.

71% of Republicans identify as MAGA, not all.

You made a claim that the suspect is a MAGA Trump supporter. There is zero evidence of that as yet. Registering as a republican in 2022 does not make you a Trump supporter. Where is the whataboutism?

The suspect previously voted for Trump and his close friend in news reports has called him an ardent Trump supporter. He's also been described as an ardent Christian, very ardent anti-abortionist, gun owner, etc etc.  See the following post and the several following it.

What has that got to do with the claim that he was a MAGA?

I don't know what exact credentials qualifies one for MAGA, though the suspect here pretty much has all of them -- Trump supporter and voter, conservative Republican, anti-abortion, gun owner, etc.

But, I was responding to your posted comment below:

He CLEARLY is/was a Trump supporter and voter, according to his roommate and long-time best friend:

"Although Boelter lived in the small town of Green Isle about an hour outside Minneapolis, he often stayed in the rented home of his longtime friend in the city, David Carlson.

...

Carlson said Boelter was a conservative who voted for President Donald Trump and was strongly against abortion rights. But he said Boelter never mentioned any particular issue with the lawmakers who were shot, and said he was stunned to learn that he is a suspect in the attacks.  [emphasis added]

AND

Boelter was a supporter of President Donald Trump, KARE reported Carlson as saying. Carlson said he wasn't aware of his friend's stance on local politicians, according to the station. [emphasis added]

AND

His roommate and best friend David Carlson told media outlets that Boelter was a devout Christian and staunchly anti-abortion. He said Boelter texted him that he would be dead shortly. He claimed Boelter was a strong supporter of Donald Trump. [emphasis added]

Instead of speculation of him being MAGA perhaps better to see what he or his lawyers say

Fortunately, it appears from current news reporting that the state of Minnesota -- and not Trump's Justice Department under Pam Bondi -- is going to have the first crack at criminal prosecution of the suspect here:

Vance Boelter charged in shootings of Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses. Here are details from the criminal complaint

"Vance Boelter has been charged in the shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses

Boelter, 57, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree attempted murder, according to the criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County Court on Saturday. [emphasis added]

"Boelter will be held on $5 million bail on the state charges, court documents say. Boelter may also face federal charges. [emphasis added]

He was charged via warrant in Hennepin County with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder, according to court documents that were unsealed after his arrest."

Officials: Assassination suspect caught after ‘largest manhunt in state history’

After arrest of Vance Boelter in Sibley County, Gov. Tim Walz calls for unity as he says political violence “cannot be the norm.”

...

“Now begins the hard work of looking at what the motive is, looking at putting this case together, and so that’s yet to come,” Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley said.

...

Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Superintendent Drew Evans said authorities are confident Boelter committed the shootings alone, but said they will be exploring if there was a “broader network” related to the crimes.

...

Walz called for people and politicians to work together. “It’s not about hatred, it’s not about mean tweets, it’s not about demeaning someone, it’s leading with grace and compassion and vision and compromise and decency,” he said. “That was taken from us in Minnesota with the murder of Speaker Hortman.”

What makes you assume it would be better?

President Donald Trump says "such horrific violence will not be tolerated."

Because I believe the Minnesota investigators and prosecutors will follow the evidence and whatever motivations are developed, regardless of where those lead and regardless of political considerations or bias.

That's something Trump and his current Justice Department IMHO don't have a very strong record on, to say the least.

Yes, because as we all know that when Trump picked his administration he went for competency and integrity, right?

Still no reports sharing the beliefs that the poster I was responding to has then. Just deflection

Is everything you believe based on evidence? If you say yes I'll do my best to verify that claim and any stalker complaints means you've been caught in a lie.

Its not about me, it is about evidence though. Its important

I could delve further into the issue of Trump and his dubious Justice Department, but doing so would almost certainly be deemed off-topic for this thread and likely have my posts removed... So I'm not going to waste my time here on that venture.... but there's no lack of evidence to make that case.

I made a simple statement that I stand by -- I'm glad this case is going to start off at least being prosecuted in Minnesota state courts by state investigators and prosecutors there.
