British Man Arrested Over Staged 'Wedding' with Nine-Year-Old at Disneyland Paris

A bizarre and troubling incident unfolded at Disneyland Paris when French authorities arrested a British man accused of orchestrating a fake wedding ceremony involving a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl. The event, which took place early Saturday morning before the theme park opened to the public, had reportedly been booked for €130,000 in what officials now say was an elaborate stunt.

The young girl, described as tottering unsteadily in high heels and dressed in a wedding gown, appeared to staff to be underage, prompting immediate concerns. Authorities were alerted, and an investigation was launched into what was initially feared to be an illegal child marriage.

Jean-Baptiste Bladier, the public prosecutor in Meaux, confirmed that the suspect—believed to be British—was disguised through professional makeup to appear unrecognizable. “The suspected instigator played the role of the groom after being professionally made up to look completely different from himself,” Bladier said, adding that police were still working to formally confirm his identity.

Assistant prosecutor Alexandre Verney clarified that the event turned out to be staged. “It wasn’t a wedding, but a staged wedding filmed with around a hundred extras,” he explained. “They hired Disneyland Paris, pretending it was a real wedding.” According to Mr. Bladier, the event was intended to be filmed privately and broadcast on social media.

Le Parisien, the French newspaper that first reported the story, noted that the venue had been booked weeks in advance, and that Disneyland Paris—Europe’s most visited theme park—was hired for several exclusive hours at a significant cost.

The girl’s mother reportedly told investigators she wanted to organise “a day worthy of a princess” for her daughter. However, the event took a dark turn when staff saw the child struggling in stilettos and promptly contacted the authorities.

Investigators revealed that false documents were used by the man who organised the event, including falsified identification to pose as a Latvian national. Disneyland Paris, misled by these fraudulent papers, has since filed a formal complaint. “The organiser misrepresented himself as a Latvian national and used false documents to obtain the contract for the privatisation of the park,” said the Meaux prosecutor’s office.

A witness told Le Parisien, “We were not told at any time that it was about a film shoot. We all thought we were going to be part of a wedding. Everyone was stunned. No one expected this. Disneyland does things very well. They immediately cancelled when they understood that the bride was a kid. We were sickened by that.”

The prosecutor's office has confirmed that a medical examination of the child found “she had not been subjected to any violence or coercive acts.” Nevertheless, four individuals were initially detained: the suspected British organiser, a 24-year-old Latvian woman who acted as the bride’s fake sister, the child’s 41-year-old mother, and a 55-year-old Latvian man hired to play the father. By Sunday evening, only the first two suspects remained in custody.

According to the prosecution, “With all charges relating to harm to the minor having been dismissed,” the focus now shifts to financial misconduct. Charges of “fraud and breach of trust to the detriment of Disneyland Paris” are being sought, and judicial supervision of the suspects is expected to be requested.

The child and her mother had reportedly only arrived in France two days prior and do not reside in the country. The 55-year-old Latvian man, who alerted staff to the girl’s age, has been released. Mr. Bladier stated, “He explained that he had been hired to play the role of the bride’s father for €12,000 and had discovered at the last minute that she was nine years old.”

In an official statement, Disneyland Paris confirmed the event was “immediately cancelled” after “significant irregularities were identified.”

If it were a real movie set the cops would be able see that when they first entered.  Multiple levels of lies and confusion is the give-away.

Did anyone ask "and were you planning a honeymoon?"

I'm sure Labour are plotting a way to bury all this as we speak.

Wouldn't want to risk inflaming "community tensions" with any "dogwhistles".

Let's hope the fine that he eventually gets will render him financially unable to do future stunts like this!

The problem is it was probably staged to make money by selling the images online.

There are a lot of sick people out there.

Muhammad the fake prophet actually did have a 9 year old wife Aisha, he was 53 and married her when she was 6.

The dominant Islamic tradition, based on Sahih hadiths, states Muhammad married Aisha when she was six and consummated the marriage at nine!  Still a pervert though!

They also say before consumption he used to thigh her holding her legs together, her main chore was to wipe the semen from his garments, the perfect man followed by billions!

The 'guy' is actually British, born in there, but his origins are from India, his name.

Why are you claiming racism when Islam is not a race? It has not been proven the guy is a Sikh, unlikely. Sikhs have had as much trouble from muslim rape gangs than anyone

A sociologist and/or psychiatrist should be the ones to determine "harm". It doesn't have to be physical.

According to the SUN........THE Brit arrested for allegedly staging a mock wedding with a nine-year-old at Disneyland Paris is convicted paedophile Jacky Jahj.

Although he is British born, Jhaj’s surname is of Indian origin, specifically linked to the Sikh community in Punjab, India

Phew….good job you pointed out that his name is of Indian origin in order to prove that he’s, sort of, not a Brit.

Nah, he’s a Brit, born and bred. Own it!
