Hello all

I’m living in Thailand on a DTV visa currently - First entry was in October, so used the first 6 months and left in April to go to Vietnam for two weeks. I re-entered Thailand on the 5th of May..

Now here’s my problem. I didn’t do my first 90 day report in January. Didn’t even realise I had to do what or what they are until after my first 6 months here (I know I’m stupid as hell).

My next 90 day report is approaching at the end of July, and I’m unsure what to expect when I have to report then.

I do have one more issue: When I asked my landlord to give me my TM30, we realised he never registered me in November when I first moved in. He’s now registered me, but entered the ‘check in date’ as the 30th April, but my entry stamp is May 5th. Someone has told me immigration won’t accept that.

What will happen at immigration? Are they going to give me a hard time about the missed 90 day report? Will they also give me issues for the TM30 date being incorrect, and the fact he never registered me when I moved in? (my contract states Nov 2024 - Nov 2025).

My main worry is this will lead me to get some kind of black mark on my immigration record or will count against me in the future regarding the DTV. No one knows what will happen with the DTV long term, and I imagine having all your documents in order for the future will be important at some point should they require resubmission of docs or further checks etc.

My girlfriend has suggested I use an agent who can do it all for us and deal with immigration, but I’m unsure about this. Any advice? Cheers

Which immigration office do you deal with?

When this current 180 day permission of stay ends do you plan another exit/reenter Thailand or obtain extension at immigration?

Dual back the paranoia just a notch or three. 😉

Nothing is going to be said because you missed the earlier 90 day report (but the excuse you didn't know about doing them cuts no ice 😮 ). You already leFT the country and "wiped the slate clean" concerning that last one you missed.

Nor is anything going to happen because your landlord filed a TM30 late. As long as you have the PDF print out that it was filed you'll be fine doing a 90 day report at that address.

If you're in Bangkok you can always just go to Bumrungrad Hospital 10th floor business center and they'll do your 90 day reporting for 650, you drop off the passport and pick it back up from there a few days later.

One last thing, even if you don't file a 90 day report, nothing will happen when you go to stamp out and come back in a new stamp, the officers at passport control don't care in you ever filed a 90 day report or not.

You can only be fined by the immigration office 2000 baht for failure to file a 90 day report on time, and if you don't have any business at the immigration office (certificate of residence, extension, etc) they'll never even know

Hi there!  👋

My next 90 day report is approaching at the end of July, and I’m unsure what to expect when I have to report then.

As you have already exited and re-entered Thailand, there should be no issues about your first report. The 90-day report will re-start counting based on your latest entry date (ie May 5th).

If you're in Bangkok, you can also drop off your passport at our office between Day 75 and Day 90 from the day you re-entered and we'll return it within 3 business days with your 90-day report complete.

When I asked my landlord to give me my TM30, we realised he never registered me in November when I first moved in. He’s now registered me, but entered the ‘check in date’ as the 30th April, but my entry stamp is May 5th. Someone has told me immigration won’t accept that.

Yes, you will need a new TM30 from your landlord with a check-in date after the date of your latest entry stamp, in this case May 5th.
