I would like to ask if any of you who suffer from psoriasis have started treatment with "biologics" and to know which ones are available in Thailand and the price. Thanks.

Scapho, Tremfya and Ilumya ard available here. Imported and prohibitivelyย  ย expensive. Some people go toย  India for this.ย ย

See this thread

ย

When topical meds are insufficient, Thai doctors usually try older non biologic medsย  first like methotrexate.ย

Thank you Sheryl.ย I should have done this before opening a new OP, but I found this thread where a user shares his experience. If the prices are actually those, I'd say it's doable.

Sheryl mentioned some already.ย

You might add Cosentyx and Stelara.

There are even more.

Ask your Doctor.

Psoriasis is easily cured by changing your diet. It is caused by eating a low fat diet. Biologics etc are not required.

ย

ย

A high fat keto diet will get rid of it.

ย

In brief; Stop eating cereals, legumes and other starchy foods. Eat fruits, herbs, spices and cooked free range animal foods. Fats are NZ butter, palm, soy bean, sunflower, sesame, perilla oils. These are to be eaten with the cooked animal foods. If you are used to eating dairy, add NZ Mainland Vintage cheddar or other fermented free range cheeses, otherwise avoid dairy (not butter). Drinks fruit juices, mineral water, teas, coffees, chocolate, coconut milk, nut milks etc. Eat one meal a day and 50-70g fat.

ย

Local free range animal foods... village pork, village chickens & eggs, rice field ducks & eggs, wild fresh water fishes. DO NOT eat beef. Now is the time to eat Tilapia from your local lake/river as they are very fat in the rainy season.

My $0.02 I tried these biologics for eczema - 50k baht a month but it was on medical insurance (NOT Thai) and while it seemed to work it could have cleared up by it self (I get "flare-ups").

ย

I went to the dermatologist here who suggested UV treatment - 20 or 30 sessions at 700 baht a go. Again it got better but maybe again it just cleared up on its' own - but considerably cheaper

About 25 years back I bought a UVB wand, it still works. Thankfully my Ps. is in remission, I now just have scalp spot Ps., a patch I had on my scalp was removed by the wand working out my own schedule, not advised schedule, as that burned, my fair skin. It hasn't come back...๐Ÿค—

ย

I also found a cream on Lazada for my scalp, it stops itching and soreness and removes any scales, could now not be without it. It is called Sumifun Psoriasis cream. I pay about 20 bht a tube, but you have to search for it at that price, many on there selling it waaay higher..

ย

The only downside with it, I shave my hair off to get the stuff well into the skin, twice a day...๐Ÿ˜Š
