Took the mem Sahib to see the slave auction today. How grateful those black savages were to have the chance to be slaves to a civilized country, what ho!

Not for our slaves the chance to grow their own backward civilizations in Africa, but to learn English and learn that hard work under the sun is its own reward.

Of course, they were happy for us to take their resources back to Blighty where it could be properly looked after. Her Imperial Majesty was pleased to receive the gold and jewels we acquired and is intent on decorating her royal head with huge diamonds that show the superiority of the empire. Such an honor for the negroes who work our plantations, don'cha know?

Over the years we have educated these ignorant peasants to know how great Britain truly is  and how fortunate they are to work our properties overseas for a lash and a meal. We even have one as an indoor butler.

Met that chap Wilberforce in the club over brandies. He's one to watch, babbling on about the rights of the black man. If it were up to him they would be British, God forbid.

Actually the slave trade was in Africa long before Europeans arrived, Africans enslaving and selling Africans into slavery.
