So irrelevant as it may be, you are contending in an open forum that the Romanovs were anything more than a historical failure?

Wow

Sorry but you seem to have a problem with the English language!

You appear to not understand the difference between "relevant" which was my comment wrt to Russia and your "irrelevant" use of the word in the wrong context!

Best you get back on your weed and log off!

How would you know given your appalling use of it?

As an example I suggest you look at the lack of punctuation in your ill informed comment above!

You should stop making an even bigger fool of yourself by continuing to argue. You lost, Ukraine is a country, so move along now - chop, chop.

well, it was a deliberate attempt to create their separate entity and plenty of Russian native speakers switched. but yes

The Ukrainian language developed separately from Russian in the 13th century, due to Polish and Lithuanian influences. By the 17th century, the difference was so marked translators were needed during negotiations for the Treaty of Pereyaslav.

Austria is a different nation to Germany, the differences in their languages is miniscule compared to Russian vs Ukrainian.

You have it arse-about, Russification programs have been ongoing since Catherine the Great, culminating in a 1959 order which made Russian compulsory and Ukrainian optional for study in schools.

Got the first bit right, but failed after that. People and countries have the right to declare their own futures. Russia is nothing other than a neo-fascist state that wants to oppress through arms.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with the current conflict in Eastern Europe.

It totally has, the west interference in Ukrainian domestic politics, orchestrating the 2014 coup which ousted the democratically elected pro Russian leader, the funding of Azov neo Nazis who were attacking ethnic Russians in donbass, and lets not forget the saber rattling of Ukraine joining NATO, which everyone knows was the red line for Russia since mid 90's.... stop denying history and the truth Raymond

Notice how NOT ONE of the Ukraine sock puppets has disputed any of the historical facts put forth?

Russkiy propaganda is so strong many actually believe all the nonsense fed from Moscow through all useful idiots. Russian is spoken especially in Eastern Ukraine, so what? French is spoken in Belgium, Switzerland and Canada, German is spoken in Austria and even parts of Italy. Should France claim Quebec? Should England invade the USA where ENGLISH is spoken?
