Hi All, advice on going back it's been 8 years since I was back so it's a 2 week trip leaving in August I'm doing a 90 day report next week should I get a re-entry stamp there or at BKK, taking my 10 year old son with me he has Thai and British passport first time on aircraft for him, any advice would be appreciated thanks

For what it costs I always get a multiple entry......then you have no worries or possible hassle at all.

Get a seat with a bulk head behind you, middle row, aisle seat and the seat next to you.......or 11A

If your immigration office is reasonably quiet/efficient then get the re-entry permit there, otherwise it is a very easy process to get it at BKK.

What is your final destination?  What class of travel do you intend to use?  Where are you located in Thailand?

Anything more about your circumstances and plans while there will get you more focussed replies.

For the boy, use the British passport at check in; use the Thai passport at Immigration in Thailand, use the British passport at Immigration in the UK.

Don't waste money on a multiple reentry permit if it is going to be another 8 years before you go again.

If departing from Suvanabhumi, ask the airport staff where the re-entry office is before you go to the immigration counters.  The office is located at the end of a row of 'standard' immigration counters.  There is usually no/little queue, so don't waste time queuing at the standard counters.

It is located Zone 2 after security and prior to passport control.

It's adjacent left side.

At airport they offer an optional "service fee" 200b and provide tm8 + photo etc so you just hand over pp.

That's what @hotandsticky was advising. But at check in, you show the British passport. If you show the Thai one, they'll ask where his visa to enter the UK is.
