The government is purchasing the measles vaccine under mass procurement orders, and it is typically CAD$5 or less per dose. The numbers do not support your claim.

- Alberta has approx. 305,000 children aged 1-5. This means that about 61,000 children in any given year are eligible for the vaccine.

- Only 68% of eligible children are fully vaccinated against measles. That's 41,480  children

- The value of the vaccines sold is approx $414,800. Round it up to $500,000

- The vaccine is sold at cost plus a small profit, perhaps 10%

 

Now do tell us how "Big Pharma" is making money off of the  vaccine . How is the approx. $50,000 a big profit?

Of course, anything that can get past any one of our three main defences can potentially be dangerous. However rabies, is not cause by a virus. What is in the saliva of a rabid animal? I sense a new topic coming soon on that. There it can be fully explained.

What are  "Big Pharma's" profits from the measles vaccines? I provided a  simple financial summary to show that there is little profit on general vaccines. In most jurisdictions, the government has set the  cost and profit parameters. The typical essential vaccine procurement contract is a cost+  format. Your claim that   the pharmaceutical industry is making windfall profits from measles is unsubstantiated.

 

3. Measles infections are expensive. The USA doesn't collect and publish comprehensive data on the infections now, but Alberta still does and the data is  concerning. As of July 5,

Diagnosed cases - 1,214

Hospitalizations - 102

ICU Admissions - 15

 

The provincial taxpayers are picking up the costs for the idiots who refused to be vaccinated against a preventable  infection. Obviously the infected people did not get the memo that they can heal themselves because so many are in hospital.
