EU ready to hit US with 21-bln-euro tariff list, Italy foreign minister says

With a $230 billion usd trade deficit, it definitely is good for the EU economy. But for the US, there's $230 billion more going out than coming in.

The reason for the deficit is the decision by U.S. companies to outsource production in Asia or elsewhere. A lot of American brands are bought in Europe —especially tech, consumer goods, and lifestyle. However, they are often produced outside the U.S, in low cost countries.

So the EU has a trade excedent with the U.S., and a deficit with Asian countries which are producing U.S. brands.

  • You mean the EU didn’t allow the UK to cherry pick and that rightfully so and now the Uk pays the price for their own actions!!!   Screw Trump! Stop trading with him altogether until he come

  • The EU never learns.   First it wouldn't give Britain a good deal, leading to Brexit.   No it won't give the US a good deal, potentially leading to huge loss in trade with a coloss

  • Same reason they wanted to punish Britain for Brexit.   The totalitarian, deeply authoritarian protectionist racket doesn't like it when the shoe is on the other foot. It's fine for them to

So your solution is to stop all trade with the EU? Yes, that sounds like a cunning plan, indeed......:coffee1:

When did I ever write that? You have a bad habit of making false assumptions.

That's a good answer to my original question, thank you.

Utter tripe, of course. And in a few years you will rejoin the EU. How will you deal with that buddy, on a personal level I mean?

How can you re-join something that will probably not exist in a few years?

That won't be a diet. It will be the end of NATO.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Trump is seeking reciprocity.

So for protectionist rackets like the EU, they are indeed going to feel what it's like to face trade barriers and large tariffs.

Post Brexit Global Britain has received a far better deal.

What goes around comes around.

Another benefit of Brexit. You're welcome.

I doubt Trump is worried at all, he's already outsmarted China and he will have no trouble sorting the pathetic eurocrats out.  When it comes to deals  Trump  is in a different league to the likes of vanderleyan and her cronies who have never had a proper job    and his popularity is increasing, day after day , Suck it up lefties

PS. Whenever I see stuff like "Suck it up lefties" I know we're talking low double figures.

As I've pointed out in a previous post the imminent demise of the EU has been predicted for many decades.

Your two posts combined make no sense to me.  If I combine them it says;

"They got a 95 bill 95 billion Euro. plan ready so far if potus will not learn"

What is the plan, what has to be learned and where does the "95 billion Euro" come from/into it?

You should stop listening to  MSNBC and all the other leftish rubbish, but the likes of you prefer to simply repeat the same old tired rubbish, trotted out by your lefty mates    "Trump Bad"   over and over . That's why the other crowd lost , no actual policies just a hatred of Trump.   and a load of virtue signalling,  truly laughable

The failing protectionist racket cutting off it's nose to spite it's face once again.

I hope the EU squeezes america completely empty! And you can blame your never-failing ever-lying president for that!

Any chance of answering the post rather than making a pointless post in response?

Any chance of you having another look at the post in question again first?
