Brennan lied to Congress.

As reports emerged Thursday that an internal investigation by the Central Intelligence Agency’s inspector general found that the CIA “improperly” spied on US Senate staffers when researching the CIA’s dark history of torture, it was hard to conclude anything but the obvious: John Brennan blatantly lied to the American public. Again.

No wonder there are supposedly pardons for these folks

Schiff is the guy who sat through the closed-door hearing and still lied about Russian collusion.   Here are some quotes from the 2017 hearings.

“I never saw any direct empirical evidence that the Trump campaign or someone in it was plotting conspiring with the Russians to meddle with the election,”

“That’s not to say that there weren’t concerns about the evidence we were seeing, anecdotal evidence. … But I do not recall any instance where I had direct evidence,”

Jame Clapper 2017

To the best of my recollection, there wasn’t anything smoking, but there were some things that gave me pause,” “I don’t recall intelligence that I would consider evidence that I saw…conspiracy prior to my departure."

Susan Rice 2017

“not recall that being briefed up to me.”

Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Russian Collusion. 2017

I don't know anything"

Evelyn Farkas.   Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia.

One year later, Schiff was still lying about Russian collusion

A lot of evidence has been revealed already. Obama, Klapper, and the other scumbags had better have their lawyers ready. The legal fees will have bankrupted them by the time the trials end. This alone will be their karma.

The US taxpayers will be paying for this vendetta. Please refer to the  legal protections afforded US civil servants in the conduct of their official duties.

Note too the SCOTUS ruling from 2024. At the time, the Supreme Court today ruled former President Trump was at least presumptively immune from criminal liability for his official acts, and was absolutely immune for some “core” of them — including his attempts to use the Justice Department to obstruct the results of the election. This ruling  can be used to excuse former President Obama too.

Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio.”

Trump’s supporters, both foreign and domestic, might want to take up their grievance with ‘Marco Rubio’.

One small point. If former Pres Obama knew at the outset knew that Russia did not have the means to affect as US election why didn't he tell the media to prevent the spread of the media frenzy of Russia-Trump collusion?

Because Tulsi Gabbard is lying.

She showed that Obama knew that Russia did not hack elections infrastructure. That's true.

Then she claimed that it contradicts other Intelligence reports. That's lie. It was never claimed that Russia hacked election infrastructure (voting machines). There were other claims but not this one

It's just another MAGA propaganda hax for the gullible!

"Gabbard’s claim relies heavily on an alleged contradiction between a Jan. 6, 2017, intelligence assessment that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered an “influence campaign” in an attempt to help elect Donald Trump and earlier intelligence assessments that concluded Russia did not successfully use cyberattacks on election infrastructure in the 2016 election. But those two assessments are not in contradiction."

President Donald Trump has stirred controversy once again by accusing former President Barack Obama of treason in the Oval Office, without providing evidence.

At least the asshat editors and authors FINALLY got the titles correct. Of course, once again, they got the rest wrong. It was the DOJ and AG that announced that DHS and the CIA (?) FBI (?) uncovered that the Obama admin, with knowledge and consent of the president did willfully and illegally alter intelligence reports to help Hilery. 🍿🎥:stoner:

Trump is the one betraying his nation. He is despised by the military for a dozen good reasons. He is behaving in a way that betrays everything noble about America. Even some billionaires have come out and said how unnecessary the tax breaks are, and how they can't support them, knowing they will result in 13 million Americans losing theirh  health care. The man is a one man wracking crew.

Just wait for the upcoming elections. Rogue capitalism is what we have with Trump & his Project 2025 band of robber barrons. They will feed on the people, robbing them of even life’s essentials and then they will turn on each other because they are predators and don’t know any other way to be in the world. Why? Because they are ruled by ego and it’s greed.

We will NOT forget how they voted to throw grandma out of the nursing home, deny a newborn and it’s mother any health care under Medicaid, rip away health insurance from up to 17 million Americans and put the burden of paying for their health care needs on us, the payees of employment health care benefits because our premiums WILL go up.

The Center for American Progress previously estimated that Medicare enrollees eligible for two MSP programs—the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) Program and the Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB) Program—would be hit especially hard. These programs benefit Medicare enrollees living at or just above the federal poverty level (FPL). A couple on Medicare who are eligible for but no longer able to enroll in the QMB, making a combined $21,000 per year, could see their out of pocket costs skyrocket by $8,340. A single Medicare enrollee making only $19,000 per year and eligible for SLMB could see their out of pocket costs jump by $3,300 per year if they are unable to enroll in the program as a result of the bill.

Despite voting for the OBBBA, six Republican members of Congress wrote a powerful letter raising concerns and seeking answers on the indiscriminate enforcement. The letter states, “Every minute that we spend pursuing an individual with a clean record is a minute less that we dedicate to apprehending terrorists or cartel operatives.”

Under this bill, the Trump administration will have vastly more power and resources to swell a deportation force that makes no distinction between cartel operatives or those with violent criminal records and hardworking people. Seeing this legislation as a license to continue this sort of reckless overreach, the administration will continue to act lawlessly, ignore the Constitution, and chip away at American democracy.

The OBBBA’s “qualified small business stock exclusion” allows wealthy venture capitalists to claim $10 million in income tax-free for investing in certain startup companies. The Treasury reports that over 75 percent of the benefits of this provision flow to millionaires. Outside analysis finds that it is a frequent target of abuse by investment companies. Republicans could have addressed abuse in this program or canceled this tax-free giveaway, as bipartisan groups have called for. Instead, the OBBBA increases the amount millionaires are allowed to take home tax-free to $15 million per investment. Subsidizing these investors will cost taxpayers $17 billion.

That’s not even to mention the $3.3 TRILLION the OMB has calculated this horrendous monstrosity will swell the national debt.

“We will look back on election night last November, on what just happened this week, culminating with this vote today, as the beginning of the House majority for Democrats,” Rep. Brendan Boyle of Pennsylvania told CNN.

“After this vote, every time you wait longer at a doctor’s office or get a higher utility bill in the mail, it’s gonna have a ‘brought to you by MAGA’ disclaimer to go along with it,” said Jesse Ferguson, a Democratic strategist who has worked on House races.

Why would you say "without providing evidence?"  At this point in the process, it looks to me that his administrators have provided a lot of evidence.  There will be a period of discovery and other investigations.  I'm not jumping on any bandwagon or accusing anyone until the courts have had their say.

And all of the Asean Now community should do the same. There is no reason to start slinging mud and feces.

Constitutional Definition of Treason

Under Article III, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, treason is defined very narrowly:

“Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.”

This means:

Levying war: Directly engaging in or organizing armed conflict against the U.S.

Adhering to enemies: Supporting a nation or group the U.S. is actively at war with, by providing aid and comfort.

Can anyone here pinpoint which bit of the above is going to stick in court when Obama is in the dock?

Let’s look at this in a rational manner. If there were lots of evidences as laid out by Tulsi Gabbard, DOJ would have initiated charging decision. Instead DOJ will investigate the investigator evidences that have been investigated and affirmed by the Muller Report and the bi-partisan senate committee chaired by Marco Rubio. Rubio will be a complicit if the evidences were incriminating.

This is a distraction by Tulsi for his boss. It will go nowhere  and will just fade away and hope everywhere will forget just how stupid and silly for Tulsi to come up with this nonsense.

The evidence shows that they knew that Russia likely did not hack the election infrastructure. That's true.

There's just a small detail that Gabbard forgot to consider in order to fool the gullible: it was not claimed that Russia hacked the election infrastructure.

The released documents don't contradict the findings of the different investigations, which were not about Russia hacking the election infrastructure.

See, for example:

"Gabbard’s claim relies heavily on an alleged contradiction between a Jan. 6, 2017, intelligence assessment that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered an “influence campaign” in an attempt to help elect Donald Trump and earlier intelligence assessments that concluded Russia did not successfully use cyberattacks on election infrastructure in the 2016 election.
