I really don't know the answer to the following question. Maybe someone does. 

How often does a good guy with a gun stop a bad guy with a gun?

Perhaps as a percent of overall shootings.

In USA, areas of  restrictive gun laws are said to have higher rate of gun related crimes, than the places of relaxed gun laws.
