He did not fire the BLS Chief Erika McEntarfer because under her, the staff missed its initial assessment. He fired her because the real numbers made him look bad. He and his Carnival People administration had been boasting about the May and June jobs numbers, despite them being---in the original release---well below Biden's last month. Now, it's a Roseanne Roseannadanna "Never mind". The revisions were brutal.

 

If the numbers had been revised upward by a similar amount, Trump would be crowing like he was the marshall leading the Gay Pride Parade......and Ms McEntarfer would be given the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

 

There is no good way to spin this, no matter how hard the cult members try. The average person is not THAT stupid, though the average MAGA probably is. The numbers are horrid, and firing the BLS Chief makes Trump look like a petulant little child.

lack of hiring? from the news, 150K fed workers took advantage of Trump's call for them to leave voluntarily, plus he is closing some of the agencies, especially ones that benefit the citizens.  Listening to folks in the US, the economy though supposedly booming at 3%, everyone is finiding it more difficult to survive on a daily basis.  Scary from what I read from friends throughout the country.
