Police in Bangkok have arrested two teenagers carrying a homemade firearm, after stopping them on a motorbike in the Bang Khen district.

 

The suspects, identified only as “Ice” (17) and “Phai” (16), were detained by patrol officers from Bang Khen Police Station on Ram Inthra Road near a petrol station on Sunday.

 

According to Pol Col Anan Warasart, superintendent of Bang Khen Police, the arrests followed suspicious behaviour spotted by officers during a routine patrol. When ordered to stop, one of the youths allegedly tried to evade the police. A search revealed a homemade pistol tucked into Ice’s waistband, along with a single round of ammunition.

 

During questioning, Ice admitted the gun belonged to him, claiming he carried it for self-defence while riding with his friend to buy kratom juice, a popular but controversial herbal drink derived from the kratom plant.

 

Both teenagers were taken into custody, along with the seized weapon, and handed over to Bang Khen investigators for further legal action.

scary to think there are teenagers driving around with guns hidden on them. It is bad enough knowing how unstable the men and boys are in their reactions and how easily they injure or kill without care or concern for life. 

This kid was out planning to use the weapon if needed. Noone carries a gun around for show and tell. i wish there was a way to get the caregivers for these kids to face charges for neglecting to care and restraining they teens from doing such actions. I hope they keep these teens in jail and send them to a juvenile detention center quickly rather than allowing them to return to the streets to arm themselves again.
