Police have arrested a 39-year-old man in Samut Prakan for alleged involvement in multiple fraud cases, after he was found disguising himself as a rescue worker to avoid detection.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), working with the Crime Suppression Division, apprehended Mr Kittisak outside a company in Thepharak sub-district, Muang district. He is accused of fraud, using falsified computer data to deceive the public and allowing others to use his bank and electronic accounts for criminal purposes.

Authorities said Mr Kittisak had reportedly been dressing in a rescuer’s uniform and leaving his home daily, despite having no affiliation with any rescue service. The disguise was allegedly intended to mislead authorities and avoid searches, but raised suspicions among local residents.

Investigations revealed that he had previously been arrested for drug offences around three years ago. At the time of the latest arrest, he had two outstanding warrants for fraud in Nakhon Pathom and Sisaket provinces.

Police allege that Mr Kittisak had opened bank accounts and lent them to scammers, who then used them to entice victims into investing in fake product review schemes. Victims were unable to withdraw their funds, reportedly losing more than 120,000 baht each.

Mr Kittisak reportedly admitted to wearing the rescue uniform to avoid police detection and to lending his accounts due to financial difficulties. He has been charged and taken to Don Tum Police Station in Nakhon Pathom for further legal proceedings.
