In the early hours of September 2, a violent attack unfolded in Nakhon Luang district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province when six individuals, armed with clubs and knives, targeted a motorcycle repair shop. This shocking assault involved the use of three homemade bombs, leaving one person injured and causing significant damage to the premises.

Police Colonel Chanphak Suwannachuen of the Nakhon Luang Police Station received reports about the incident, which took place at 12.30am along the Nakhon Luang-Bo Phong road. Arriving swiftly at the scene, investigators found a chaotic site: a damaged motorcycle, a crater marking the shop’s entrance from the explosion, and scattered remnants of homemade explosives, known as ping pong bombs. Inside, several motorcycles were toppled over, and a club was discarded on the floor.

The injured, identified as 28-year-old Watcharapol, suffered a head injury and was immediately transported to Somdet Phra Sangharaj Hospital for treatment.

An eyewitness named Boy recounted how a white Yaris parked outside the shop, out of which five to six masked men emerged, brandishing their weapons. They unleashed their attack, throwing two bombs at the front and another at the side of the shop before escaping swiftly. The motive and identities of the assailants remain elusive at this point.

The local police have begun questioning witnesses and are meticulously examining CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify and apprehend the culprits. Though the reason behind the attack is yet to be confirmed, it is suspected that a personal conflict might be at the heart of the incident. In response, police have increased patrols in the area to deter any further disturbances.

In a related case in Chon Buri’s Banglamung district, a 42-year-old woman sought media intervention after her home was allegedly attacked by over 20 teenagers armed with guns and ping pong bombs. These unsettling incidents underscore rising concerns around local security and the use of homemade explosives in community conflicts, posing challenges for law enforcement agencies.

The attention now is on a prompt resolution to ensure safety and justice for those affected. The escalation of violence in these areas is worrisome, prompting authorities to bolster community engagement and preventative measures to forestall similar incidents. With investigations underway, residents are urged to report any suspicious activities promptly.

A local wasn't happy with the service or the bill so got his mates together to violently destroy the premises to sedate his ego?
