Best Option For A 5 Month Stay

Featured Replies

A friend who is married to a Thai, and has a son with his wife, is looking for the best way to stay in Thailand for 5 months. He deals with Buriram Immigration.

He intends to arrive visa exempt and extend for 30 days on the basis of being married to a Thai.

At the end of his 3 month stay can he then extend on the basis of having a child?

No.

Visa exempt = 60 + 30 day extension + 60 day extension "to visit wife"

Would need to be done in that order.

Would need to check with his immigration office if they would allow that.

Couple are incorrectly refusing both the 30 and 60.

Another option (better) is to obtain Non O marriage eVisa prior to entry = 90 days + 60 day extension to visit wife..

There are other options.
