Blind German Man Unaware of Wife’s Death in Their Home

Nonsense again..These aren't excuses for the Immigration Office, I feel pity for the man, but this is Thailand and their “rules”, which they'll tell you is the Agency or for your own wife to fill out paperwork.

It is not so simple as that when you are blind and your wife has died.

As a for example how do you get to immigration in the first place.

How do you know which form is which?

How do you know which are the correct photos that somebody has taken for you?

Rules are made for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men. I am 81 and I have always found Immigration at Mae Sot, Nakhon Sawan and Kamphaeng Phet to be very helpful.

Well in case you have not noticed, this is not the UK and he is not English, have you even considered that different countries  might just use different techniques to those used by your ex mrs and her blind boss ?  As long as both the blind guy and his helper are comfortable with their arrangement it doesn't matter how they do things or indeed what you think about it.

Have you ever noticed a guide dog walks in front, yeh good idea let the blind person walk in front crossing a road. A quick google search will show you.

Financial burden is part of it.

The other part is she probably couldn't handle the burden of taking care of him.

Anyone's life can go on a downward spiral real fast.

And these ridiculous claims on road accidents.

Maybe one thing is simply wrong concerning the financial situation : He gets his pension from Germany, enough to spent a decent life in Thailand

Speculation. Quite possibly his pension was modest. His wife was clearly under a lot of strain both caring for a blind husband and needing to work, and her driving accident likely drove her over the edge. Very sad for him, and very sad for her. RIP.

My worst fear ... to be left in a physical/mental condition and being a burden on someone. Just slip me the pill. Off to the long sleep or whatever exists on the other side of this earthly existence ...
