I am in Chiang Mai and I just met a very nice Thai man up on the mountain (at Mae Sa Valley Resort). His name is 'Ryan', or Thongsuk. He said Jonathan, who apparently looks like Jesus Christ :o, is half Spanish half English, and stays most of the time on Had Khonthi, used to come visit him in Chiang Mai every year and stay with his family. He hasn't heard from him since the tsunami and asked if I would check around for him on KPG. If anyone knows this Jonathan, please PM me and I can give contact info for Ryan. Thx!
