November 29, 2025Nov 29 Hi to all, I have question for all you immigration gurus, as an retired expat arriving back in Thailand from a overseas holiday I must complete a TDAC for entry , the form asks for your address in Thailand, Q: If I am supplying my home address does this eliminate the need for a TM30 to be completed by my Thai wife? Cheers

In the field asking for address just put address where you will stay. For field asking about departure dates etc that can be left plank. You will receive a confirmation email instantly. There is also a QR code. I flew into BKK airport yesterday. Nothing was asked for. It's in the system.

Cheers Curious to hear the reasoning why you think that doing a TDAC would eliminate a TM30 needed to be done by the owner of the property (in this case your wife), landlord or hotel that you stay in? I'm sure hotels would love to not have to do millions of TM30 every time a foreigner checks in, as the foreigner already did a TDAC on entry.

Just thinking maybe for resident expats with AO or O visa there would be no need for another documement telling them the same thing, Forgot I am in Thailand the world of paper trails.

I re entered Thailand last Friday and one of the folk you describe. Extension retirement returning to usual place of residence. I will NOT be filing a TM30. Next time I deal with CW immigration will be Oct next year for annual extension. Will obtain new TM30 from apartment office at that time. In reality not required as I also provide 12 month lease.
December 2, 2025Dec 2 Popular Post On my last entry, a few weeks ago, i had a brief interaction with a friendly IO. I mentioned some of the issues I had had in answering (fully) some of the questions on the form. his response was , 1) all I can see on the system is that you completed the form and 2) don’t worry too much about this, we know it has been poorly designed and feedback has been given, we hope it will improve going forward.

As with the paper TM6 Arrival card, it's mainly just for statistical purposes.

Cheers On the LTR the the address on the TDAC is sufficient, no further TM.30 unless you travel within the country. That was my finding upon return from a visit to Korea and return to my home in CM.

If Chiang Mai said it was fine then that's their office regulation for everyone, regardless of visa type. Some immigration offices are fine with you not doing a new TM30 if you return to Thailand and then return to the same address as your previous TM30. But most require a new one if you leave Thailand.
December 4, 2025Dec 4 Is the online TDAC required when entering via a land border or can you fill in a paper version?

December 5, 2025Dec 5 In Udon Thani, no new TM30 required if returning to the same registered address. Haven't done one in 15 years.

Quite, I use the better half of Chonburi Immigration and mine is from 2015. In the years before that being on ME visas never needed to go to immigration.

Lived at the same address for +20 years (our house in wife's name). Officer signed the slip off of a TM30 indicating that status years ago, and I use copies of that slip whenever a TM30 is required.

These 3 offices are acting in compliance with a Police Regulation issued on 5 June 2020 (attached - sorry, I can't make the images any larger). CW Immigration, on the other hand, may have gone rogue based on what @DrJack54 has said.

When I got a new passport a couple of years ago I thought they would ask for a new TM30 but I just moved the old one into the new passport and nothing was said. In the years before covid I used to meet up with a bunch of Europeans. We all used the same office, yet each had a different tale to tell. Only constant is the inconsistent.
