well, open up in new tab for the whole article .     my "comment"  is below :

"Plausible neutrality: People think the machines have no agenda, not realising that the models are trained to maximise engagement and satisfaction"

That statement does not go far enough ! The models are TRAINED , absolutely . And basically all the major Ai systems are owned, and trained, by extremely large, MAINSTREET companies .

For most "non-controversial" subjects, the information is fairly straight forward . But , and it's the Big But (no laughter please) ....... Any and All subjects where there are disagreements as to what are the True facts, who are the True experts, well.... the Mainstreet bias is alive and well.

To mention just one example , which is of paramount concern ..... it's the narrative regarding what is the real definition of HEALTH CARE . It is no secret that the allopathic model and the mainstreet Medical Cartel are unquestioned in their dominance . Experts that find fault are of course referred to as "unreliable sources" spouting unproven theories.

It's the same game as usual.... with the outright lie that AI is impartial , with no agenda.

Who owns all (almost?) the Ai models that are "free" to access? Sure, Billionaires !

How can the high school team ever rise to compete with the elites ? The gulf gets wider and wider .

I do know of one "alternative" , called Alter AI . Check out the results asking some "alternate" theories and opinions on the Covid / vax subject . Interesting. What would be great is if somehow a model like that could have a platform which somehow was widely known and easily accessible . Anyone think google would be interested in promoting it !!! Not .

It’s about conformity. The scamdemic proved that there are clearly those who are capable of thinking on their own, and those who are easily persuaded.

From your own personal experience and observations............

what percentage would you guess are "capable of thinking on their own "  ?

Personally I think it's a horrific trend, and though the military and certain organizations and corporations likely have access to higher quality AI, it seems like we are limited to the $5 version, which is really pathetic. I cannot even dictate a paragraph without it making 10 errors.

Persuasion certainly varies greatly depending on the person, subject matter, situation and method of influence. Though personally from experience and observation, the percentage of folks who are critical skeptics on just about anything they come across would be in the low single digits, leaders, problem solvers and resolution oriented with applied knowledge and experience to see and understand outcomes, tend to keep things at arm’s length until there’s a sure footing. There would be much less scams and gimmicks out there if folks would sit back and watch the tide and wait before jumping in, exercise some forethought and weren’t so gullible as to take advice and information for example, from media organizations, salespeople and so called “trusted sources“.
