BBL takes approx 3-5 days to provide. You will also require Bank Letter. These can be obtained days prior to application. Also make bank book update on day of application..

December 15, 2025Dec 15 Popular Post It still amazes me that people still use the BKB, when banks like Krungsri can get you statement & letter in just 15min.

December 15, 2025Dec 15 Maneerat don't deal with Bangkok Bank anymore. I just did my 90-day report using Maneerat.... they told me that when my retirement renewal comes up in March I have to go and open a new account at Krungthai branch in Naklua. They said I have to go there myself and do it, which is a bit of a cheek considering that their service has gone up from 12,500 to 15,500 baht for renewal (like most agents.) Just saying..... Maneerat aren't using Bangkok Bank anymore, they're using Krungthai. Incidentally, went to Cambodia Travel - 14,900 baht for renewal, 1000 baht to open new account at Krungsi Bank in Pattaya Tai, and their agent is there to assist.

Ta If you end up opening Bank account yourself please post experience. Esp in regards to if bank required you obtain a COR. (Shouldn't)

I keep the 800K in a Fixed Depost account but use Maneerat for convenience and have always used the BBL Branch on Beach Road (Just past Royal Gardens/Baywalk Residences) to get the 3 month statement on the day. It used to take >1 hour when it was customary to use BBL for "Agent Assisted Financing" but since things changed end of June time, it's usually a lot quieter in there. Edit: You'll also need the letter confirming your balance, if you've not had the 800K in the account for at least 4 months you'll probably need to sign a form to say that the 800K can be frozen for 4 months.

(Shouldn't) Dr Jack - I won't be using Maneerat..... good experience before, but not happy to go to Naklua to open an account with Krungthai without assistance, simply because they should be providing that, seeing how much the renewal fee has increased. (3,000 baht.) I did forget to mention that it's 1,200 baht + 400 baht for the debit card to open the account at Krungthai, on top of the 15,500 baht Maneerat fee, which brings it to 17,100 in total. Makes more sense to go to Cambodia Travel and pay 14,900 baht + 1,000 baht, including assistance opening account. I was told - by both Maneerat and Cambodia - that all I need is passport and Thai driving licence... no mention of COR.

The COR in my head came off the back of couple of threads asking about enter Thailand with a Non O eVisa and go to bank with just the Non O. Some asking for Lease or COR. Different situation to yours.

An IO was going to send me away but accepted 500 THB instead.
December 15, 2025Dec 15 Yes, one needs a bank letter on the day and a copy of the balance, and also a medical certificate and also the picture page of passport, and the copy of the current permission to stay stamp and various other forms which need to be picked up at Immigration and think the form when you entered Thailand. Anything else changed please?

Not to be confused with a medical certificate. Your original question was: Which Immigration Office requires medical certificate? Answer: The Surin Immigration Office requires a medical certificate every year (dated within the last 4 or 5 days) as well as the 3M฿ health insurance for the next 12 months. I don't think I can be clearer than that.

So what it the "medical certificate"? The same as the one they issue for car license. What did the medical certificate involve.
December 15, 2025Dec 15 11 minutes ago, mfd101 said: Here's a copy. I'm not being pedantic. That form is for the initial Non O-A application. In some countries it will be basically a stamp from medical clinic that you walked into clinic. For some countries the GP will require blood tests. At a guess you obtained a 200b nonsense certificate from clinic. It's a joke. Fortunately insignificant number of immigration offices would apply that stupidity
