Today I wanted to send some money as it is urgently needed for an unseen problem.

WISE used to be quick , now it states " arrive in seconds "only on transfer it states "arrives Wednesday

I thought in this day of electronic wizardry things happened instantly ,

looks like WISE is going backwards.

Any better alternatives?

 

 

 

Western Union most likely would be instant.  And their rates are better than they used to be.

What currency are you using?

I make regular payments from Wise to 2 vendors in Thailand (wine and meat purchases).

 

One is to a Kasikorn account, the other to Siam Commercial. The transfers go through within a few minutes at most.

 

But if I send money to my own account or wife's - both Bangkok Bank - the money arrives on the following day (longer if it's a weekend).

 

It's not of great concern to me, but I wonder whether it's Bangkok Bank, not Wise, that is the problem.

Could have hit the nail on the head there.

I sent a Wise payment this week and it arrived in mins.

I sent one the other week and it took hours.
