@ the Apple store in the U.S., including tax, this model costs 42,711 Baht.

The hub for SE Asia is Singapore, and this model costs 44,436 Baht there, so I'd think that you won't be able to get it for less than this. That's the lower limit for buying it in Thailand.

Just negotiate with the stores. It's a safe bet that they will make a reasonable profit at the Singapore price so unless there's high demand they will go down to that... good luck!

46,900 seems to be the price that most of the Thailand Apple dealers are offering.

Not wanting to put you off, but the new 20" has an inferior screen to the old models. Have a look at it in the shop and view it from different angles and you will see the colours change, as they do on many laptops. Probably not a problem if you are planning to sit right in front of it and do not intend doing colour critical work like photo processing. The new glossy screens are also an acquired taste and may over-saturate colours.

I was waiting for the new model, but when I read about the glossy screen I went for the "old" model which has now dropped in price.

I will be going to Singapore for a couple of days. Are there problems in buying an apple desktop there? Customs into Thailand? Warranty work in Thailand? Anything else? What rough percentage price difference is likely anyway - just so I see if it's worth even considering?
