The Bangsaen21 Half Marathon will return on 21 December 2025, bringing one of Thailand’s most prominent road running events back to Chonburi province with an early-morning start and an internationally certified course. The event has drawn runners from Thailand and abroad, reinforcing Bangsaen’s position on the international running calendar.

Bangsaen21 is widely recognised as one of the most famous half marathon events in Thailand and is held under the concept “The Finest Running Event Ever”. The race takes place in Bangsaen, a seaside town known for its relaxed coastal atmosphere, where organisers aim to combine elite race standards with a welcoming community environment. Over the years, the event has built a strong reputation among amateur and professional runners alike.

The half marathon follows the official distance of 21.0975 kilometres and complies with international road-race standards. It is organised by MICE & Communication in collaboration with running groups including Tao Doi Runner. The race has earned the World Athletics Platinum Label Road Race status, reflecting consistent recognition for high-quality organisation and international credibility.

For the 2025 edition, the race will start at 4:00 am. The course runs along Bangsaen Beach Road and passes notable landmarks such as Laem Taen, Khao Sam Muk and the Ang Sila area. The scenic coastal route is regarded as a key attraction for participants.

The entire race route will be closed to traffic, allowing runners to compete without interference from vehicles. Hydration stations will be placed along the course, offering water, electrolyte drinks and snacks to support participants throughout the race. Local residents are also expected to line parts of the route in the early morning, creating an encouraging atmosphere.

An event expo will be held alongside the race period, featuring vendors selling sportswear, nutrition products and souvenirs. Some booths will offer stretching sessions and mini-workshops designed to help runners prepare and recover. Support from Saensuk Municipality plays an important role in ensuring safety, traffic management and overall coordination.

Organisers expect the 2025 race to continue Bangsaen21’s role as a flagship half marathon in Thailand. With international certification, municipal backing and a fully closed coastal route, the event is set to maintain its established format and standards in December 2025.
