Fake Dentist Arrested Over Fashion Braces Clinic in Phitsanulok

Police from the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) have arrested a 26-year-old woman for allegedly operating an illegal fashion braces clinic from a hotel room in central Phitsanulok. The raid took place on 9 January 2026 at a well-known hotel in Wat Chan subdistrict, Mueang district, following complaints about unauthorised dental services advertised online.

The suspect, identified as Ms Ingorn, was detained with a large quantity of dental equipment and materials. Officers said the operation posed a risk to consumers and violated both consumer protection and professional licensing laws.

According to police, the arrest was ordered by Pol Maj Gen Kongkrit Lertsitthikun, commander of the CPPD. The operation was led by Pol Col Phatthanaphong Sriphinphor, deputy commander, along with Pol Col Kraiwith Saenthaweesuk, superintendent of CPPD Sub-division 1 and Pol Lt Col Kittiphop Khongsungnoen, inspector of the same unit.

Authorities seized several items from the hotel room, including a UV curing light, seven sets of orthodontic brackets, 121 pieces of fashion braces wire, more than 160 elastic O-rings and power chains, adhesive used for attaching orthodontic materials and other medical equipment. Police said the room had been set up to function as a temporary dental clinic.

The investigation began after officials received complaints that fashion braces services were being promoted via a Facebook account named “OIL ING ON”. Officers contacted the account undercover, agreed on a price of 1,000 baht and transferred a 200 baht deposit to Ms Ingorn’s bank account to arrange an appointment.

At the agreed time, the suspect allegedly escorted an undercover officer to the hotel room and began preparing equipment to fit the braces. Police who had been waiting nearby then identified themselves and made the arrest on the spot.

During questioning, Ms Ingorn reportedly confessed to renting the hotel room to provide fashion braces services to customers contacted through social media. She told police that prices varied depending on the complexity of the work and that she had only recently begun operating from the hotel before being arrested.

Thaitabloid reported that police charged her with violating an order of the Consumer Protection Board prohibiting the sale of fashion braces equipment and with practising dentistry without a licence. She was taken into custody and handed over to Phitsanulok City Police Station for further legal proceedings.
