Thailand Privilege Card has awarded “Friends of Thailand” membership cards to three foreign Muay Thai fighters from the Rajadamnern World Series. The ceremony, held at Rajadamnern Boxing Stadium, recognized these individuals for their international promotion of Muay Thai and contribution to Thai culture. The honored fighters include Karl Tannian from Ireland, Barbara Aguiar from Brazil, and Estonia's Marie Ruumet.

Organized in collaboration with the Rajadamnern World Series, the event was highlighted by Tannian receiving the Best International Fighter (male) award. Tannian completed the 2025 season with a remarkable 5-0 record, becoming the only non-Thai to achieve this in the tournament. Aguiar was awarded Best International Fighter (female) and has been a standout in Muay Thai since moving to Thailand in 2020.

Marie Ruumet, known as the "Snow Leopard," was recognized as the Best International Rising Star. Her achievements include being the sole fighter to defeat the 2024 RWS tournament champion, establishing herself as one of the top fighters in her class. All three fighters join a distinguished group of 75 foreign individuals celebrated under the Friends of Thailand initiative.

These fighters' accolades highlight their significant impact on promoting Thai culture globally. Manatase Annawat, president of Thailand Privilege Card, emphasized the appreciation for their efforts in showcasing Muay Thai to an international audience. Past recipients of the "Friends of Thailand" initiative include notable figures involved in the Tham Luang cave rescue and other cultural promotions.

Looking forward, these fighters will continue to inspire and influence the global Muay Thai community. They are anticipated to further raise the profile of the sport and enhance Thailand's cultural outreach, reported Khaosod.
