January 20Jan 20 US President Donald Trump has remained tight-lipped regarding how far he will go to acquire Greenland, refusing to comment on whether he would use force to seize the territory. In a brief phone interview with NBC News, when asked about the use of military action, Trump simply replied, “No comment.” This comes amid heightened tensions over his intentions to take control of the semi-autonomous Danish territory.Trump has intensified efforts to acquire Greenland, announcing plans to impose a 10% tariff on Denmark and seven other European nations unless an agreement is reached. The move further strains relationships with European allies. Over the weekend, Trump linked Greenland negotiations to his previous unsuccessful bid for the Nobel Peace Prize in a message to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, implying the lack of recognition justifies his actions.Norway released the text message exchange under public disclosure laws. Trump expressed that, without the Nobel accolade, he no longer had to prioritise peace exclusively. Norway, alongside other European countries, will face the tariffs starting 1st February, according to Trump’s social media post.Norwegian Prime Minister Støre has emphasised Norway's stance, affirming that Greenland remains part of the Kingdom of Denmark. A five-member Norwegian parliamentary committee annually awards the Nobel Peace Prize. In 2025, Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado received the prize and later gifted her medal to Trump for his role in toppling Nicolás Maduro.Trump disputed Norway's purported impartiality in the award process, claiming that they control it. Former US Embassy senior diplomat Lewis Lukens critiqued Trump’s focus, noting Norwegian officials have no influence over the Nobel decisions. Trump, however, downplayed the prize's importance, reiterating that his peacemaking efforts accomplished more, reported NBC News.In his dialogue, Trump criticised Europe's reluctance to part ways ways with Greenland, arguing the acquisition was pivotal for US national security against potential threats. Trump has vowed to proceed with tariffs in the absence of a Greenland deal, expressing a resolute commitment: "I will, 100%."AQMAHJiLr_TQy0yXWScCdoTBCOHuxLoicLi6rw7D-vLePCf17GIErtuBlOqC5f7aEVXWupxQOk-6N1JGC-PAKN6IMGi2BovHHIyh_Ltzag.mp4Key Takeaways:Trump declined to comment on the potential use of force for acquiring Greenland. The US President plans to impose tariffs on European countries to pressure a deal.Norway maintains Greenland’s allegiance to Denmark, countering Trump’s claims. LOL. Trump declining mental state is causing him to lose his ability to make radical decision. His mother cryptic mesage to him when she pointed out the mental institution for the unwell.
January 22Jan 22 Popular Post Even if Trump said he will not use force to acquire Greenland, who would have reason to believe him?

January 22Jan 22 Till now ZERO.NOTHING statement of the US Senate or House of Representatives, nor the High Court nor the majority of the US governors. So, my conclusion: the US Systems of State are NOT stopping this rancunous, narcistic "grab them by the pussy" idiot. The European and other Free World leaders are wetting their pants with the idea they have to oppose His Imperial Highness, Trump the First, Emperor of America ( from Alaska till Terra de Fuego)So, leaves it to ius, consumers:do not buy, use of watch any US made or grown goods, services, entertainment ( TV as well as games), software, not fly with liners using Boeing or other US made planes.dump all shares and treasury bonds of the USA, to get a stock exchange and a currency exchange rate shockdo not use credit cars (as all are American, like AmEx, Visa and Master), but pay via other meansdo not travel anymore to the USAavoid as much as possible any contact with US citizens, so they know they are not welcome here anymore.

January 22Jan 22 Somewhere through Trumps ramblings, there does remain some facts that are truthful. I was speaking to a guy from Finland, who almost felt it was America's duty to protect them. This was a guy in a government job who got retirement at 55. European countries have low retirement ages.He gave me alot of guff how they spend 2% on Nato etc. Let's be honest Finlands 2% of their GDP is didly squat nothing. They barely pay anything for their defence, meanwhile they enjoy brilliant health care, great public services, retirement at a young age, great holidays and all sorts of perks for their populations.Where as in America, whilst wealthy, their is mass wealth inequality. Same with UK, their 2% is massive towards Nato. So you have sections of their population with little, as the government spends masses on Nato to protect countries like Finland.I asked him why say Finland shouldn't spend 20% of their budget on defence if it is worried. He said then they wouldn't have to have a worst life, and less spending on education, arts, health etc.GIVE ME A BREAK so families in the UK and America have to suffer because you guys won't spend on defense.

USD1 trillion or around 3.5% of GDP drawfed the next 9 countries combined. China with a much larger population only spend about USD250 B or 1.5% of GDP. The high defense spending is an economic burden and need to borrow debts to finance at the expense of its citizen. The collective defense of the NATO alliance is adequate to deter and defend against adversaries but must stay commited as allies and to the North Atlantic Treaty. Trump has done damage to Nato unity and force Nato countries to spend 3.5% in order that they can defend themselves as they have less trust that USA commitment to Article 5. Unity of strength not dominance.
January 22Jan 22 Amongst the chaos, something very important is taking shape. Behind their meek and measured personas that have defined European politics for decades, a quiet but confident resolve is finally taking shape, threatening to humiliate the US President.European leaders know they have absolutely no choice but to unite and stand up to Trump, because there is far more at stake than Greenland... Putin is watching. While rightfully the sovereign territory of Denmark, Greenland isn't of any significant strategic or economic value to Europe. From an entirely pragmatic perspective, selling it would have been a wise financial choice. Greenland costs Denmark around $700 million USD in subsidies every year, and there is very little chance of any meaningful minerals extraction occurring any time soon, while the "control" of shipping routes remains speculative, and in my view somewhat overstated. But the real cost of capitulation to Trump's intimidation would be confirming in Putin's mind that the people of France, Germany, and the UK, won't risk escalation to defend another European country when a superpower raises their voice. If Europe can't unite to stare down Trump on behalf of Denmark, then there's a good chance they won't do it for Estonia, especially without the US by their side. The reality is, Europe won't be able to stop the US military from taking control of Greenland if Trump gives the order, especially with an existing foothold on the island. Nor should young European men be sent to die for a frozen outpost. But Europe still have a number of options to ensure the US knows it's at war.It can impose a significant economic cost on the USA, it can sanction US officials, including Trump, and it can evict US soldiers from their territory. None of this will come without substantial self-harm, but it must be promised with believable conviction to deter both of the megalomaniacs committed to their deluded imperial ambitions. If they convince the American people of the mutually assured destruction that will follow, then I'm confident that enough Republicans will quietly communicate their red line to the White House, leaving Trump with little choice but to sell yet another humiliating retreat to his base; though they will no doubt celebrate it as a masterful gambit.Just like his ill-considered trade war with China, Trump has started a fight based entirely upon the expectation that no one would fight back. Witnessing Europe's exhaustive efforts to appease his capricious demands over the past year, it's perhaps somewhat understandable why he mistook their platitudes for genuine subservience. But any reasonable assessment of the situation as it stands indicates the overwhelming likelihood that Trump will back down when met with genuine resistance. But these are not reasonable times, and no assessment can adequately account for a man who is looking more and more insane every day.
January 22Jan 22 Trump is rite - EUROPE needs to spend to protect themselves. Sick of some of these countries enjoying great benefits for their populations, great life, but then rely on the likes of the USA, UK, France to come to their aid if anything happens.Spend the money yourselves.
