Try a Hotel 81, budget prices by Singapore standards (say THB2300 up) with a bit of comfort. I used to stay at the one in Geylang lorong 18, 25 years ago. Not too far to walk to the local metro or whatever it's called station.

Long stay prices I hate to think.

Cheaper to retire in Australia.
