CCTV Shows Final Moments of Brit Reality Star in Phuket

Featured Replies

CCTV footage has captured the possible final moments of TOWIE (The only way is Essex) star Jordan Wright, before he was later found dead in a drainage canal. The 33-year-old Brit was seen at 23.25 on 12 March, sprinting through a Phuket hotel complex, repeatedly looking over his shoulder as if being chased. His body was later discovered around 300 metres from his hotel, raising questions about the circumstances of his death.

Jordan had recently moved to Thailand to start a new life and was staying alone at Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao Beach. CCTV shows him appearing disoriented, grabbing a parked white pickup truck for support before continuing to run. He was due to check out on March 13 but never appeared, prompting concern from hotel staff.

Police are now investigating whether Jordan was being chased, with officers reviewing CCTV footage to trace his movements earlier that evening. Lieutenant Colonel Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station said: “The circumstances leading up to the death are quite unclear. It is possible that other people were involved.” After leaving the hotel grounds, Jordan is believed to have crossed rough fields, jumped down a 10ft creek, and moved towards a nearby construction site without CCTV coverage.

His final route led to a desolate, half-built area where his body was discovered two days later by a Myanmar worker harvesting vegetables. Hotel staff said there had been nothing unusual about his behaviour prior to his disappearance. They noted he would go out at night like other guests and had no visitors during his stay.

Investigators at Choeng Thale Police Station said the drainage canal measures about 2 metres from ground level to the canal bed, making it difficult to climb out, especially at night. Police said Wright appeared to be in a distressed or agitated state and they believe he was unable to pull himself out before dying

The Sun reported that the unclear sequence of events has left significant unanswered questions, including what caused his apparent panic and whether others were involved. Authorities are continuing to examine available footage and evidence to establish a clearer timeline. The case remains under investigation as police work to determine the exact cause and circumstances of his death.

CCTV Records TOWIE Star in Row Before Death

Newly obtained CCTV footage has revealed further details about the final moments of TOWIE star Jordan Wright, recording him in a heated late-night row shortly before his death in Phuket. The 33-year-old Brit was seen near a drainage canal, where he was later found dead, appearing agitated and shouting during an apparent argument. The footage has intensified questions surrounding the circumstances leading up to his death.

The clip is timestamped at 11:37pm on March 12, just 12 minutes after earlier CCTV showed Wright running back to his hotel in a distressed state. In the footage, a family of three walking nearby reportedly saw and heard him yelling angrily while standing by the canal. Police believe he may have been arguing over the phone, though they are still working to confirm who he was speaking to.

Witnesses said Wright appeared to be in a “frenzied state” and was heard making threatening remarks, including references to a “f**king shootout”. Additional comments captured on the footage suggest he was engaged in a tense and emotional exchange. A police officer stated the family then heard the sound of someone wading in water before the area fell silent.

Lieutenant Colonel Chanasin Prateep Na Thalang said no other voices were heard and no one was seen chasing Wright at the scene. He added that the canal contained chest-deep water in places, and that Wright, in darkness and an agitated state, may have been unable to climb out. Authorities do not currently believe he was being physically pursued at the time he was seen running earlier.

Investigators are continuing to examine Wright’s movements and contacts in the hours before his death, including who he may have met earlier that evening. He had checked into his hotel at around 7pm on March 12, but his activities until approximately 11:30pm remain unclear. Security staff and CCTV at the hotel did not record any other individuals accompanying him.

The Sun reported that police believe Wright may have drowned in the stagnant canal water, although the exact time of death has not been established. Officers are reviewing evidence, including the apparent phone call and witness accounts, as they work to piece together a full timeline. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to clarify the events leading to his death.
