What that post you just made about 'blanket' statements ?

In every case, Blanket statements are permissible when supported by irrefutable evidence.

Many of them grew up dirt poor with only a dodgy fan at best. So now they want to milk the foreigner's AC for all it’s worth. Plus, the AC on 20 is possibly the closest many of them will ever come to

I get so many Thumbs Down, you would not believe.

I think it is not Americans who use the Thumbs Down.

I would say it must be Thumbs-Down-Under thumbs.

You get so many thumbs down because what you post is absolute tosh, meaningless rubbish, and quite often some insults.

Try to not post for a month and see how many you get then. 555

To me, it seems silly cool or dehumidify a room with an AC, then put water back with an Humidifier.

Nobody ever does this.

There must be some confusion.

Perhaps, a misunderstanding of the functioning of a dehumidifier vs a humidifier.

It is always permissible to use a dehumidifier in conjunction with a properly operating air conditioner set to cool.

In that case - when you say “nobody here can understand them” - we have to assume the likely case that you’re alone, and “everyone here” just means you. Fine - you can’t understand them, so in your little universe, nobody can.

But people from Manchester aren’t incomprehensible, and the evidence for your claim is non-existent. If you actually went there, you wouldn’t stumble around in total linguistic oblivion, incapable of understanding a single word.

So once again, your point collapses into something far simpler - and profoundly stupid - quite the norm for your comments.

The only thing I know about Manchester is that they pronounce English in the most abominable way.

Nobody here in Thailand can understand them.

The Manchester pronunciation, even the guys from that place, will tell you...is a complete joke.

When the guys from Manchester open their mouths, all in the room begin rolling on the floor.

Go ahead: Just ask almost ANYONE from Manchester. They don't try to hide the fact.

I mean....how COULD they hide the fact, even if they wished to do so???

I have heard people menion skivvies.

But only in very old Black&White movies.

The term must be at least 100 years old.

Nobody uses this term, anymore.

What is wrong with the term, underwear.

Is this word not good enough for most people?

What an absolute load of stupid rubbish you write.

ALL counties in UK. and so many other countries have their own accents and way they pronounce words.

Have you ever been to Manchester? Not know about the famous things invented, made, designed, and famous sports teams and men.

Come on GG, from where do you originate, what accent do you use.?

Why are you playing sleepover with a bargirl. Do you cuddle and spoon throughout the night.

You do realize they are human too, right? Nothing wrong with actually showing affection and not making them feel like a total human pocket p***y.

Ya you must be new. Thinking she gives a flying f about you ....priceless.

Most of the working girls loathe sleeping with the fools that rent them. Give your head a shake.

What blaze master does not understand is that for many years an overnight stay was the standard.

Yes, but I never did say I could understand them.

I only said that nobody in Thailand can understand the typical heavy Manc accent.

I should know, since people here have reported this to me.

Sure, I like it, but I just cannot understand it.

Read it again, i said duvet cover only works well, I didn't say use nothing, try it, or maybe you have?

No, I read perfect. You posted that it was stupid to have a thick duvet, and basically that people should do like you to not be stupid. That´s a stupid way of thinking!

Do you have any supporting evidence for this?

Is this why they hide under the duvet, blasting the AC, and refuse to come out?

Now, I am beginning to suspect that DUVET, in this thread, is nothing more than CODE for CONDOM...

Am I correct?

No just common sense. Do you really think young mid 20s girls enjoy having sex with random old men ?

I speak with nothing but a standard accent.

My accent is also an antique.

I have not been exposed to other accents, on a regular basis, and so my accent, and speech modulation and rhythm, is like what you might hear on the old NewsReels, of WW1, or during the 1930s.

I am NOT joking, this time.

I think if they get paid enough, then they will enjoy it a lot.

Also, if the old man has a good sense of humor, then this might help, as well.

I just dont agree. We'll leave it at that.

Inaccurate? Bargirls are prostitutes. You are the one starting a topic about a bargirl using a duvet. Was it intended as humour, the type that appeals to the elderly western white male 75 and older crowd? If so, it needs work.

If it was serious, who do you think is an expert on the sleeping habits of poxy prostitutes other than the people who hire prostitutes because they can't attract normal women?

And as for snarky, you are the one broadcasting your knowledge of sleeping bar girls. It's creepy and suggests something untoward.

What's wrong with sleeping with prostitutes - that's why they exist.

If you don't want to use the service , don't.

But don't get high and mighty about people who do.

Yes it is stupid, use a thick heavy duvet so you have to have AC temperature lower, as well as being stupid, you are adding to global warming with unnecessary electricity use

I sleep better in cold weather or a cold room

global warming is a hoax that is used for control. You MUST sleep in a warm room.

Sure, I like it, but I just cannot understand it.

The idiocy of your comment is, frankly, beyond generous understatement.

People from Manchester can be found across Thailand and across the world, communicating perfectly well without causing some grand linguistic crisis. The notion that they are uniquely incomprehensible is as baseless as it is absurd.

Yes, strong regional accents - from anywhere - may occasionally challenge the unaccustomed ear. That is hardly a phenomenon exclusive to Manchester, nor is it the profound insight you seem to think it is.

Your remarks, as ever, manage to be both curiously misguided and impressively foolish.

It is always permissible to use a dehumidifier in conjunction with a properly operating air conditioner set to cool.

The first thing an air-conditioner does is remove water from the air i.e. it dehumidifies.

After that the air temperature can be lowered. Look at the amount of water your outside unit discharges. That's how the things work.

Cooler air cannot contain as much moisture as warm air.

Thats why it rains when clouds are forced upwards over mountains. The air cools and cannot hold moisture .

I completely understand that this is the typical response and perspective for those born in and around the city of Manchester.

Maybe its like bad breath.

Nobody ever tells you to your face.

Anyway, if you ask Thai people for an honest opinion...if they think their true view might in any way cause offense, then the...naturally...

ALWAYS tell their white lies.

The heavy Mancunian accent is quite notorious around the world.

I am not saying it is bad, but only notorious.
