How is US inflation now, dear MAGA's?

It was up a point to 3.3% for March, which still almost two percent less than the average under Biden, yes?

Anything under Biden that was as bad as this during Trump's first time.

Covid caused the drop in employment. What a stupid posting. And the highest rate of employment was under Trump!

Only to those living in America. Where do you live?

No. I specifically commented about how inflation affects the value of the dollar. Inflation tends to depress the value of the dollar against other currencies. Increasing the interest rate can slow, maintain, increase its value, but inflation per see, has a negative effect against other currencies.

Again you've missed the point. The same covid pandemic that led to a drop in employment also led to worldwide inflation. But according to your way of thinking, the rise in employment isn't Trump's fault, but the rise in inflation is Biden's. Engaging in doublethink much?

Nope interest rates attract more money flow unless inflation is out of control. So you are wrong.

The highest rate of employment was under Trump 555.

The highest tate of inflation was under Biden 5555

You scored an own goal.

Again you've missed the point. Until those interest rates are raised, the rise in inflation will tend to lower the exchange rate of the dollar or lead to less growth. And then when the interest rate is raised, that would tend to at the least, lower the rate of decline and the most increase its value.

This has nothing to do with the double standard you subscribe to.

The USD is up 4% against the baht this year.

Another own goal. Stop digging when in a hole.

So posting facts is a double standard to a Biden troll. Ok sure. Stop digging.

How much is the dollar down against the baht since 21 January 2025?

Yeah right, you should stop diggging

On April 20, 2017, the exchange rate for 1 US Dollar (USD) was approximately 34.4 baht. We can all cherry pick dates.

Actually, given that interest rates have decreased more in the US than in Thailand, it's not me digging a hole, is it? Interest rates in the US were cut by .24 in Sept, October, and December of 2025. A total of .75 up to now. Over that same period Thai interest rates were cut by .50.

what's more, Interest rates aren't the only factor in determining the value of a currency. It also depends on such things as the real growth in respective economies. Thailand already wasn't doing that well. And now the energy situation arising from Trump's Iranian excursion, is going to adversely effect the Thai economy more than the American economy. So currency traders are betting that the American economy will grow even faster in relation to the Thai economy.

21 January 2025 was when your hero was inaugurated, so not cherry-picking.

Cherry-picking is claiming the dollar went up 4% this year because of your hero, while it down more than 10% since he cam in power

It's higher that the 'low' of all the previous administrations (< 30) , since I've been here, 25+ years.

I don't have a hero and the Thai baht is heavily manipulated. I don't care why or what moves it. A weaker baht is good.

Your hero Biden had horrible inflation. The UK has higher food inflation than the US right now 555

You should stop digging when you're in a hole.

The dollar is more than 10% weaker against every major currency, since Trump came to power.

And now I know you gonna cherry-pick to find a currency to which the dollar didn't weaken

I said the baht fell this year which is true. You are now talking about last year. Still in that hole digging away. Biden must have been your all time hero.

I don't care about all these changes. I care about the baht. You are in a hole. Stop digging. You keep making yourself look silly.

Then why your post was the dollar got stronger, and not the baht got weaker.

It is better to say nothing than open your mouth and remove all doubts

Again. Your argument makes no sense. You seem to believe that inflation has no effect on the value of a currency but rather that only interest rates count.

The USD is up against the baht this year. I never said anything about past years until you did. You're a fool. Inflation is only up 0.4% since December 2024.

Keep digging away.

Your post is irrational as before. Inflation affects local value the most. In Thailand you get more baht and Thai inflation is lower.

Inflation will go up worldwide of course, but all for the very same and single reason, which is that an Israeli and US war criminal started an illegal war.

So as a non American 3.3% is a big deal to you how?

Below is a graph of how the dollar has performed against the baht. Do you notice how it kept on declining until february 16? Does that tell you anything? Do I really have to fill in the blanks about traders fearing the unequal consequences of Trump's Iranian excursion? That in fact, those fears have been realized?
